Good watch brands

I (sadly) have a landmark birthday in a month or so and my wife has told me this morning she wants to get a watch. She’s spent a few weeks reading up on them and narrowing the choices down but she asked which one I preferred seeing as it’s a bigger present than we’d normally do. Only issue, if that’s the right word, is that I think they’re all lovely and whilst I suggested she bought me all 3, she told me to fuck off.

As there are a dozen or so watch buffs in this thread, I thought I’d ask for your honest opinions.

Now the first 2 are obviously brand new and the 3rd one is 25 years old (with box and papers) and I’ve changed my mind a dozen times already.

Not too bothered about resale as it’s a birthday present nor initial cost as she says they’re all much of a muchness and I don’t want to go about mooching to see exactly how much each one is. Just wondered which people thought looked nicer. (Would be worn a fair amount rather than just for special and I’m not too worried about being robbed here (Borneo) and I wouldn’t wear it out at all when I’m back in SA for Southern Hemisphere summer.

I’m not a watch snob at all but I do like a chronograph.
Omega all day long.

Having had a closer look than the original first glance, the Omega doesn`t look as sharp as it should the numbers and blacked markings on the bezel look smudged.
Bezel looks like its been polished and repainted (badly), then refitted by stevie wonder.
Dial patina looks correct, but the datewheel sticks out like a sore thumb. Its too white (new) and its off centre. Strangely though the case looks unpolished.
It's had work no doubt about it.
Wouldn't be too hard to find a better one than this imo

Ok great. I’ve fucked the Omega off and appreciate the heads up on the potential issues.

My son bought me a Breitling watch when he was working in Shanghai some years ago. It looked absolutely perfect and cost him about £27 I looked the watch up in the Breitling brochure it looked exactly like the one my son had bought me for £27 pound from China. That is until I tried shaking it and instead of hearing the chronograph winding up I could hear the inner working banging against the watch casing
