And just like the world cup in 66, theyll get huge funding for updating old toilet
One wonders whether the failed England bid to hold the 2018/2022 world cup (and hence the need to apply for govt money to spend on upgrading/new facilities) which was launched in late 2007 and lost in December 2010, had any bearing on the glazers (and latterly Ferguson) thoughts regarding infrastructure spending, player spending and remaining in post.
Coinciding with City’s rise, must have been a pisser.

… or I could just be making 2+2=5

I think you can solely blame the glaziers arriving on fergie and his horse spunk greed

Yes I know that bit. It's more to do with after those events. And the knock-on effect if the glazers (and hence ferguson) were hoping for state hand-outs to get over their major infrastructure issues.

do they still run the match specials

oddly enough only 2 carriages are used for the city games ? you see double's being used all the time but not on city match days ?
On Saturday there were definitely match day doubles. Just missed one at Piccadilly Station, couldn't get on the next which was full few minutes later. After only about 2 mins another tram turned up which we managed to squeeze onto. 2 of the trams were marked as match day special.
Didn't bother after the match and walked back to town.

Whilst we’re on the subject of the Etihad’s exterior.

The arse end of Old Trafford that nobody ever see’s. (the biggest football club in the world?)

And what the Glazer’s have to overcome to expand the main stand.

Probably. Every major improvement to the Old Toilet has been made with some other s fuckers money and not the clubs

Thought I would try the Tram into town last Saturday for the first time. Took 10 minutes longer than walking. It's only 2 bloody miles. Pissing joke! Walkies!!!

Thanks JRB,that is some jig saw,as Rolf Harris would say”do you know what it is yet”Some clever sods must have an idea where the next piece goes.

"A huge new food hall, brewery, night market, urban garden and beer hall is being planned"

Between Store St and Ducie Street at the junction to Great Ancoats Street, should be able to walk straight down the canal towpath to the Arena in 20 mins.

and obviously good for pre and post match

Town is definitely stretching closer and closer to the campus.
