I've been visiting from the US for the last 3 matches. I was scheduled to fly back to the US tomorrow but just tested positive with very mild symptoms. Any suggestions or advice?

No, I had to get a supervised test to be able to fly. Still trying to to figure out how long I have to wait to get another test to fly. Also, do I have to tell my hotel?

I know you're not thick enough to believe that any intervention is all or nothing.

So do yourself a favour and don't pretend to be that stupid.

Masks reduce risk somewhat but don't eliminate it. But you already know that. Why pretend otherwise?

No you haven't misinterpreted it.

Obviously not possible as the OP has to provide a negative test but if it had been a self-test with no obligation to provide a negative my advice was not to tell anyone. As many people would do in that situation.

Ten days from my positive test or from when I first experienced symptoms. I did start getting a stuffy head last week so I can probably count that. I'd like to do a rapid home test before I go for another official test. Are they easy to get in Manchester?

Quite a difficult one for us to answer as we can get rapid flow tests posted to us for free via the NHS website.

Maybe go into a chemist and ask for some? They’ll probably give you a pack as there isn’t a huge rush for them at the moment.

And less than 2 months since those clowns on SAGE were trying to ruin everyone's Christmas with their prophecies of disaster. I hope the public inquiry looks heavily into the advice they've provided and the apocalyptic prophecies they've leaked.

That was my point. There is a sea change coming and more or less all measures to reduce/prevent infection will be eliminated. Covid will still be circulating of course but at vastly reduced levels and more or less everyone will be exposed to it at some point.
