Totally agree mate. He's a warrior and an olympic level athlete and is an integral part of our best team. Pep has made him what he is with two changes. First of all he seemed to stop him diving in, and taught him just to step off and use his recovery pace. Second of all he changed our formation, I think it was the beginning of last season, when he stopped him becoming an overlapping full back, getting the the spaces that Bernado and Mahrez need, and made him tuck in more as a defensive midfielder.

This will most likely be the last opportunity for Fern to win a c/l winners medal.
Is it not the case that a player needs to make a number of appearances to qualify for a medal?
That being the case, I am more than happy for him to get game time after everything he has done for us over the years.
Plenty of years left for the young 'uns!

all round great show,do we really nee a striker ?
ok we will go in at half time 0-0 and play better pass pass control, but last night we where lethal and wanted that ball in the net.
spurs and rags must be thinking ffs we are next.

We seem to have this tendency to continually knock every set of fans we come up against. So and so we're a weird lot, they were singing shite, nasty fuckers etc.....

Like our ground is the ultimate in atmosphere and well behaved fans. Least they stayed to the end and made a racket whilst seeing their team get stuffed.

Their fans were sound, not disputing that for a second. Just pointing out that they only started making any noise after about 85mins which was odd considering they were 5-0 down.
Them staying to the end should be applauded.
Had they made the noise they did at the end at the start then it might have spurred their team on but they didn’t and it didn’t.
