Local pub has had nearly all its bookings cancelled tonight, despite the weather not being too bad at all. I think that is the result of the weather warning areas being much too big and the media scaring people into not venturing out.

Too true. A mate of mine had a patio chair go over. Luckily no one was walking by at the time. I even had my good lady put our name and address on the washing before she put it out. It set her back hours.

After seeing a clip on the news, we’ve just watched half an hour of Big Jet TV’s coverage from the landings at Heathrow today. Basically a guy doing Sports-style commentary as some planes land, some have to go around again. Oddly-riveting.
Could do with him sustaining a Splinter or 2 so he misses tmrw!

We have a house next to a river, A very big willow is falling down very slowly.. We have a 1972 camper in a car port in the garden that we can’t shift.. The tree will land on the said port, I have put loads of extra supports to help take the load once it drops ..
My tree surgeon son says the willow branches will more than likely snap when they hit the roof ... Time will tell, just sitting here waiting for a crash lol
