Storm Dudley/Eunice/Franklin

exactly this, can't believe some get the hump with Media reporting actual factual news that flights, trains, services etc will face cancellations -It's not the media shutting everything down it's the weather!
Not all bad. Going to a family funeral at mid day, so if the met office are right there should be a good draw on the chimney.

Sad day mate, my mum used to hold a newspaper up to the fire to get that whoosh going when we were kids.

I suppose things have moved on since then.

I think there is much journalistic licence being played here. I believe the storm has almost passed over here, the sun is shining and clouds are clearing... still a stiff breeze mind you.

Things have been shut down because the media have told us we should.

13:00 is supposed to see the worst of it.

So, wind speeds in London 70-80 miles an hour = Red
Wind Speeds in Alwen was 80-90 in Newcastle = Amber.
Reason, greater chance of loss of life.... WTF

Jeez woke up to a media storm. News people are very excited about this storm.

I'm dreading it as I'm out in it later, I hope it isn't s bad as the news say it will be.
Of course they have, it‘s in the south.

Wednesday’s storm didn’t get the same attention, for whatever reason.

That’s proper made me laugh. Literally last night me and the missus were talking about when we were kids and making the fire and had to put the newspaper up and then it burst into flames…kids today don’t have that pleasure of nearly torching the house
