It’s not weird at all. You got to India and they all have chips with their curry.I accept my weirdness, in fact I embrace it. :-)

Half chips half rice and gravy, it's a northern thing. Used to gave it regularly in the 80s, and when i was feeling a bit flush id have a Hollands meat pie on top.Chips and gravy then?
What kind of monster has gravy with rice?
Might be from a bit before my time then. Never known anyone to have gravy with rice.Half chips half rice and gravy, it's a northern thing. Used to gave it regularly in the 80s, and when i was feeling a bit flush id have a Hollands meat pie on top.
Used to have pudding, chips, rice and gravy in the 80’s, still occasionally have it now while wearing a pair of Farah’s for old times sake.Half chips half rice and gravy, it's a northern thing. Had this regularly back in the eighties. Curry sauce, half and half, was the order at the Chinese, proper chippies back then wouldn’t do rice and probably not curry sauce either. Easy order to remember after a long session! When we order a Chinese takeaway these days we get chips with one meal, egg fried rice with the other, then share.
But it’s never done at a sit down meal, unless you’re common as muck.
;)

Who hasn't had curry rice, chips and a buttered muffin from the Chinese chippy.
I would find that offensive as intended if I had'nt done a six month stint on the night shift in McDs jersey when I was 21.Didn't know McDonald's did that kind of cuisine
Good grounding tbf. Their hygiene standards are exceptional.I would find that offensive as intended if I had'nt done a six month stint on the night shift in McDs jersey when I was 21.
Something I am not ashamed of as a professional chef of 20 years
