Good news. But I'm surprised how long it took to retake if, it was just the initial Russian Airborne troops with limited supplies and weaponry.

I wonder what the Russians thought of that attempt as well. It sounds like a suicide mission going that far into enemy territory, that close to the enemies capital with their main forces 100+ kilometres behind.

I'm sure the soldiers in that attack force would've been pretty special stuff to pull off what they did getting the airbase. So to lose those high skilled men on a suicide mission seems a bit of a waste.
