My late grandad fought with the Gurkhas in WW2 in Burma. I remember him telling me when I was a kid how amazingly brave and fearless they were, he said it was the greatest honour of his life to fight beside those guys.

One thing has become very clear in the last few days and that is the days of freeloading NATO members relying on the US, UK and France to be the countries that can actually do any fighting are over. When the head of the German Army goes on LinkedIn to essentially say that their army is a fucking joke then governments have to wake up and start to spend on their defence. Having a woke 'peace keeping' touchy feely organisation isn't the same as having combat ready armed forces.
