A big shout out to our military who are once again doing a superb job working their socks off 24*7 in response to this crisis.
It's certainly a pragmatic view, and one which allows each of them a modicum of "success."He probably isn’t, but he will know Putin needs an off ramp otherwise he is toast and may bring everyone else down with him.
The US will also be aware of this. We need to start gaming what a peaceful settlement looks like and how we get there.
We’re not nearly as intelligent and rational as we think we are but this is one mad **** who has power through fear. The rest of the world are horrified at this and even many within his own country feel the same. For such an intelligent species, we don’t seem capable of learning from our mistakes
They'd be thread banned by now.Imagine if Goebells and Lord Haw Haw had had the internet in their day?
Best not let the hooligans get wind of this, especially if plastic ones!4pm
Chairs are being put out as we speak
You are away with the fairies.Every innocent life lost in war is murder, yes. Are you actually defending killing innocent civilians in Yemen. What a pathetic excuse for a human you are.
Definitely this.It also shows the 21st century consequences of starting a war though.
Putin thought he was untouchable. Things like this will be pissing him off and showing Russians he isn’t the be all and end all.
The more Russians start believing that, the more likely an uprising from within.
Start another thread would you pleaseEvery innocent life lost in war is murder, yes. Are you actually defending killing innocent civilians in Yemen. What a pathetic excuse for a human you are.
Putin has used them in Syria. A ruthless cadre of aggressive semi madmen, commanded by a warlord. Why did Putin send in Chechans? Ay particular reason they've been used to do Putin's dirty work?
Great to hear they're being slaughtered.
Yes.Isn’t it obsolete? But if they managed to get it as far as Manchester without being shot down it would be a fucking miracle.
It's certainly a pragmatic view, and one which allows each of them a modicum of "success."
Yet, as others have said it also allows Putin/any other dictator to think they can do the same in future.
It's an awful dilemma.
If a Tsar bomb landed in the middle of Manchester people in Dukinfield would be dead before they realised what had happened. It’d reach Liverpool and Yorkshire.
People would get 3rd degree burns in North Wales.
Hypothetical but if they had nukes aimed at Northwest England do you think they'd go for the larger population centres in Manchester/Liverpool city centres or more Preston way with BAE being there?I am in the blast radius so disintergrated in milliseconds so can be blaise about it, feel sorry for them duckinfield folk that will have to live the rest or their lives as mutants
Who is overseeing this meeting between the Ukrainians and the Russians?
I have a slight worry that Putin could use this as a flash point for further aggression.
Russians getting their arses kicked by the look of it

Yeah, was thinking the same.It will be the illusion of ‘success‘, but a necessary one. Then the Russians can hopefully ease Putin into retirement a few months later.
In reality Putin has united the West, opened possible Finland & Sweden to NATO membership, got Hungary. Poland to work with EU partners to unite on tough sanctions, triggered huge German rearmament which Macron has been pushing for in his aim for a common European defence force.
So, in terms of reshaping Europe, a bit of an own goal by Russia. Several own goals in fact.
There are several BAe sites, so everywhere between Blackburn and Blackpool.Hypothetical but if they had nukes aimed at Northwest England do you think they'd go for the larger population centres in Manchester/Liverpool city centres or more Preston way with BAE being there?
