Ukraine is running out of crucial oxygen supplies as the war with Russia continues into a fourth day, the World Health Organisation has warned.

The UN agency has called for safe passage for emergency imports through Ukraine, which has faced missile strikes and street fighting since Thursday.

"The oxygen supply situation is nearing a very dangerous point in Ukraine. Trucks are unable to transport oxygen supplies from plants to hospitals across the country, including the capital Kyiv," WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a statement.

"The majority of hospitals could exhaust their oxygen reserves within the next 24 hours. Some have already run out. This puts thousands of lives at risk

Hypothetical but if they had nukes aimed at Northwest England do you think they'd go for the larger population centres in Manchester/Liverpool city centres or more Preston way with BAE being there?

Presumably military targets first. But you take out the neighbouring population centres with a nuke.

I’m just hoping that’s exactly what he wants us to think. My only comfort is not only would he have to be stark raving mad but all those around him would have to be as well.It’s hard to imagine a scenario where that number of people have all gone cuckoo and don’t have any family and friends that they care about.

I’m almost 100% certain it’s a huge bluff. He appears to have got himself into a situation with no obvious escape route.

It has to be an intervention of his Generals and hig ranking officers to subdue him and negotiate peace in his absence. At this point i'm sure the world won't be lamenting Putin being removed from power in a military coup.
