There is no bad blood based upon Ukraine's actions in WW2. Ukraine is being targeted because it's a democracy wishing to side more with Western European Values rather than Russian Imperial ones and Putin cannot stand it. You're talking complete shite.

( There are some people saying we should impose no fly zones, potentially take on Russia and if it leads to nuclear war so be it as "Putin & his war machine must be stopped". I think we should be involved in humanitarian support & imposing sanctions but not sure we should be getting in direct conflict yet. A line does need to be drawn and if he tries to go over it we must follow though but it's not as clear cut & simple as some seem to think. (I'm not referring to you when I say that).

People throwing around the 'no fly zones' and the like are being idiotic and reckless. Under no circumstance should we even entertain that unless Putin steps outside of Ukraine.

Our focus should be on helping the Ukranians as best as we can and provide refugees support. I don't particularly fancy a bomb being dropped on Bristol because some dickhead thinks we need to run into Russia all guns blazing.

He’s spot on! And I’ve been banging this drum for quite a long time but it’s only really becoming an accepted truth as more people say it, helped by people like that journo admitting it.

The extremes in this country are easily trapped and manipulated by words that strike a chord with their rabid hate and paranoia. I’ve talked at length about the Russian Troll Factories on this thread, and they’re who spam the comments sections and forums which our extremes frequent with emotive and manipulative language which the extremes then constantly repeat and spread.

With the far left it’s anti-West sentiment, anti-white sentiment, and conspiracy theories; with the far right it’s anti-ethnic minority sentiment and wild conspiracy theories. And they lap up all that shit and then as these sentiments grow the two extremes constantly clash.

You have to hand it to Putin (or whoever came up with this idea), the Troll Factories have completely ruined the harmony of our society! The twat!

China certainly are. Friend of mine is very senior in the military and China are the worry long term rather than Russia, although to be fair, that was before this kicked off.

China have never shown any desire to expand geographically, in fact am I right in remembering its in their constitution that they never will? Not sure. Anyway, they are not interested in doing so, they have enough territory of their own.

All we fear from China is them becoming the most powerful economically, and with that, the most advanced technically and with that, the richest individually. Whilst we turn into a 3rd rate, relatively impoverished country with ever decreasing standards of living. Relatively speaking, if not absolutely.

Quite enough to worry about without worrying about them attacking us, which is never happening.

I suspect it's because China is the biggest overseas investor in S.A. - They have pretty much been buying up most of the continent in the last couple of decades trying to monopolise the vast metal reserves and various other food commodities.
