Ukrainian offocials amnounce Kherson has fallen, first major city to come under rusisan control.
You are clearly right I just think NATO could of done more to deter Putin. And unfortunately WW3 would have ensued and a catastrophe on a far larger scale even than the one we are seeing currently.
It's looking more and more likely that Moldova's Transnistria region and potentially Sweden and Finland are next on Putin's radar. None of these nations are in NATO (although they have expressed interest). That should begin to tell you more about Putin's tactics.
An invasion of Poland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, all NATO members, would bring all members of NATO into the conflict, and we'd have War in Europe once more. Putin fears this, which is why he's targeting every nation of Europe within range that isn't a NATO member (Sweden was never part of the Soviet Union as they were technically 'neutral')
It's believed that Putin's motivation is to re-create a Russian Empire, a modern Tsardom, one that has influence over Europe so it will become less Transatlantic and allied with the United States, and instead be a Europe influenced by Russian doctrine. The more non-NATO nations he can swallow, the more he believes he will achieve this goal. Unfortunately for him, those nations are allied with NATO either directly, or as EU members, for his plan to succeed. The only European nation within reach that did not fit into either catagory was, you guessed it, Ukraine.
I thought the US ordering companies like these (and Ford) to cease trading in Russia would have been the first wave of sanctions. Surely it’s only a matter of time.Apparently there are 2700 outlets of McDonald’s, Starbucks, KFC, Pizza Hut etc in Russia. I’m surprised that for someone who hates America so much, he allows these brands in the country. They are all still open currently I believe although that may change soon.

Time will tell. Presumably they are franchises owned by Russians.I thought the US ordering companies like these (and Ford) to cease trading in Russia would have been the first wave of sanctions. Surely it’s only a matter of time.
What...no more XXL Russians squeezing into M speedosAlso means less of the arrogant bastards on holiday as well
What the fuck you on about, plenty of aid is sent to these countries, whatbthe hell has something from hundreds of years ago got to do with it. Just look at Khan from Pakistan the day after the invasion cuddling upto Putin, maybe ask him for foreign aid and stop us sending cash to his country.Do not think UK provided any aid, just colonized and looted, unless you mean the token pittance given after looting to make oneself feel good.
Maybe should tell them will come and colonize you again that will set them right.
East of Gotland island apparently - couldn’t work out how it got there but keep forgetting about that weird Kaliningrad place they have near there
Will the franchise have a clause we reserve the right to revoke all rights to the franchise should your leader act like a twunt Al la force majeure in insurance contracts.Time will tell. Presumably they are franchises owned by Russians.

Any foreign aid to these countries from us should be immediately stopped, if you ain’t with us you’re against us, fuck em
Not sure if this is a good message to send out -
Not least because I’d rather have people surrendering than fighting to the death.
The longer things drag on, the more hurt the Ukrainians go through, the more likely they are to commit war crimes of their own and give Putin good propaganda back home.
Like India a country with a space program!we give foreign aid so countries can get richer and trade with us.
Let those that voted against us get aid from Russia then.Tue 13 Jul 2021
Outrage aimed at No 10 as MPs back £4bn cut to foreign aid budget

"Melanie Ward, the UK executive president at the International Rescue Committee, said it would mean “the closure of lifesaving UK funded services in the world’s toughest places, at a time when humanitarian needs are particularly high and millions of people are facing starvation. It will have devastating concrete consequences: children will no longer be able to go to school, marginalised communities will go hungry and lives will be lost.”
Mike Adamson, the chief executive of the British Red Cross, said the cut would “exacerbate an already devastating reality for millions of people in need of urgent assistance”, while Rebecca Newsom, the UK head of politics at Greenpeace, said the cut risked becoming permanent and had undermined the chances of success at climate talks due to be held this year in Glasgow, as well as “threatening millions of livelihoods in poorer nations around the world”.
