Yes, because it gives them control over the power grid, and they can then starve/freeze the people, and get control of them.Russia are making these nuclear plants their priority in this invasion.

What do you think they might do with them ? Control the power supply or blow them up? Although I'd suggest that the latter might be a counter productive measure, especially as they've got so many Gruntski's on the groundRussia are making these nuclear plants their priority in this invasion.
....and what about the pro-Government, anti-Government, pro-EU, pro-Johnson, anti-Johnson, pro-Russian, anti-Russian and so it goes on?You should give the anti-EU rhetoric a rest for once. Or do it on the politics forum.

He's got to be trolling. Little wonder he's barred from every forum, south of the Watford gap. It’d be akin to blowing up your neighbours house in the full knowledge that it’d kill you and your family in the process.
Careful. If that is indeed true, I find it really disappointing........almost like a stab in the back for the Ukrainians. And many are so quick to criticize the UK Govt and what they are doing!!
With friends like these, who needs enemies.
Whose “simplistic world”? You are extremely patronising and arrogant The death and destruction in Ukraine ABSOLUTELY transcends money, I find it absolutely shocking that a senior German minister can admit that they could do without russian energy but they choose not to due to cost. What cost thousands of lost lives, tens of millions of displaced people and a ruined country? Your analogy doesn’t come close to the death and suffering of an entire nation. I would add that it’s not just the Germans, the sanctions from the UK have been inadequate too.In your simplistic world it probably is that simple, but this war will come to an end and life and business will continue afterwards.
I'm sure Germany would love to completely cut oil and gas supplies from Russia, but if this finishes next week, then there would be implications following a decision like that.
I've never run a government, or had any inclination to do so. To make a rough analogy relevant to me, even if I had adequate savings in the bank for 12 months living, I wouldn't quit my job, however much I disliked it and tell them to stick it where the sun don't shine. Never burn your bridges, it's THAT simple.

There are a huge number of opposing views and opinions on this thread alone, perhaps that's why so many contribute and it's heading towards 1200 pages.
Within reason, any opinion should be open for posting.
That is a frightening possibility/probability.It's hard to see an end game here that doesn't result in finding out if he is bluffing or not.
They are DDR/Soviet era useless weapons. Clearly it is more important to prioritise VW exports.Careful.
They'll be checked, the bloody moulded boxes replaced and even if 700 of these 2,700 were sorted out - would you prefer 2,000 old russian-type anti-aircraft missiles should not be delivered?
I wouldn't want to sit in a Russian helicopter facing those.
If they are useless we won't deliver. As if Germany wouldn't use every single chance to kick Putin in his bollocks as hard as we can.
It’s all part of his aggressive bullying tactics in my opinion mate. He has got used to the west backing off, he knows he can commit genocide and get away with it (Georgia, Syria, Chechnia, Ukraine), he can threaten nuclear escalation and get away with it, threaten no fly zones as an act of war and get away with it, and from what you say he has now said the same about sanctions. We can’t keep backing off as it will make him more and more sure he can do what he wants. We need to draw some lines. I agree it’s worrying times thoughworrying that Putin sees western sanctions as virtually declaring war.
Are they in Leipzig ? If so there's a huge Ukraine transport plane just landed there from Constanta in Romania.Careful.

He's hardly going to see it as a lunch date, tbf.worrying that Putin sees western sanctions as virtually declaring war.

Especially women.Cheers fellas. So he is still scared of being around people then.
Apart from continuing to buy their gas and oilIf they are useless we won't deliver. As if Germany wouldn't use every single chance to kick Putin in his bollocks as hard as we can.
