You probably need to ask yourself why we have the scope to seize so many assets. Also why we have given the owners of many of those assets time to get them out.

You can find my posts 8 weeks ago saying the amassing of troops on the border was posturing to the West and I said there wouldn’t be a full scale war, which I also got wrong but I never said Putin wasn’t the enemy. I just didn’t think he was mad enough to do this.

Hitchens actually did a university talk a few years ago about how he liked Putin. He’s got it wrong and would be best just admitting it.

To be fair 99.9 % of the world thought Putin was posturing including me, how very wrong we all were.

And probably the only time Boris Johnson has ever been truthful in his entire life.

The problem is, these things are all interconnected. Russia funded the leave campaign because it was part of Russia’s foreign policy to try to separate the U.K. from the rest of the EU. There are obvious concerns that the way in which the U.K. has dragged its feet in relation to sanctions is related to the amount of money that has flowed into the Conservative party from Russia. These are pieces in the same jigsaw puzzle that involves bombing nuclear power stations in the south of Ukraine, whether the SAS is on the ground in Ukraine, refugees arriving in Moldova and Polish MiG 29s being provided to the UAF. It’s unrealistic to say people should only look at the cancer in Ukraine without looking at the secondaries elsewhere.

Did Ukraine have a Pro Russian government ELECTED by the people that was overthrown? What’s the history there. Does Putin see this as an excuse ?

Remember that most of the fighting is taking place between Ukraine's full time army that's been prepared and trained by US and UK special forces for the last 8 years, using state of the art equipment and live intelligence provided by the US and surrounding countries against Russian conscripts who have 3 weeks training and didn't know they were going to war, using 30-40 year old equipment with no logistics or back up.

It’s not 10000 anymore it’s now 11000 so that’s another 1000 from yesterday . No one knows the true figures and both sides are banging the propaganda drum.
 
Whilst I expect our and usa special forces are probably already in the Ukraine hope to god they stay safe and don’t get captured they would be paraded and this could all blow up and Putin will have his WW3
