The hesitant, pass on the responsibility to make something happen Grealish we've seen so far this season is hopefully becoming rarer and rarer, that was night and day from the rest of his performances this season. That's the benchmark for him now, he has to be at that level every time he's on the pitch from here on.

Lovely work today.

I've often felt this season like he's been preoccupied by his instructions. I don't think he's played badly at all, he's been steady and reliable and consistent and that's not nothing, and has often been a key part of how we've played. It's just felt like he was thinking about it, like he was worrying about doing the wrong thing.

But today was the first time I felt like he's showed more than just flashes of being comfortable enough in those instructions to really express himself. And I'm excited to see how he keeps improving.

It's amazing what a bit of time, building relationships with teammates, and a little confidence boost can do.

Not sure if it was cause a Derby and he was bang up for it or the crowd encouragement helped him,

there was a lot more ‘Go on Jack’ rather than ‘Do something Jack’ and he seemed to respond to it

Coming good at the business end of the season, which is a very good sign.

Was very strong on attack, and linked very well with Bernardo, Cancelo and Foden.

Would have liked to have seen him have a crack a time or two, but that may have been his best appearance to date.

Very good today, had Wan Bissaka on toast. On today's performance you can see why Pep bought him. Keep up the good work Jack

Not for tonight, he's had a great game and getting all the plaudits he deserves. No point dragging up old posts, let this thread have the positivity it deserves, mate.
Yeah you're right mate, just enjoying some vindication after months of defending him.

If Pep could walk into a lab and genetically engineer his ideal wide forward, the end result would look very close to Jack Grealish.

He's a maverick who can play on intuition, but he's equally adept at playing the intricate passing patterns Pep demands. He was sublime today. If he can maintain that form for the majority of his time here, he'll go down as one of our finest ever players. I truly believe that.
