Good summary and Yemen is also a proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia
Although the west have tried to finger Iran there is no evidence that they are involved. Its like the 1980s/90s when the west was focused on Libya when it was Sadam Hussain behind many of the terrorist actions.

He didn't mention terrorism but the same could be said of Saudi too on that subject. No real evidence of the governments involvement in many of the claims made against them. I think it's obvious Iran have their hands just as dirty as Saudi personally.

The war in Yemen very much is a proxy war between Iran and Saudi though, it doesn't make sense explained any other way to me. Some say it's even Russia-Iran vs USA-Saudi.

Saudi's belief was that Iran's government tried to install a proxy government in Yemen(not that their actions are justified either way, neither was the USA's/UK's in Iraq). Ironically, as I understand it, the Iran Revolution came about because many saw the Shah as a proxy/puppet of the USA/west. They helped install him(CIA, assisted by the MI6) and he relied on them to help him keep his power for many years too. I don't see why so many are in denial about the way governments operate, trying to paint one as angels and the other as devils is just not rational thinking to me.

Out in the car and was listening to Talking Balls on radio Manc. Was half an hour Rags talking about winning the Champs League (!), 7 mins of City re Stones and Laporte and then back to United and Marcus Rashford. Turned it over then. Is it always like that ?.
The standard of Radio Manchester’s City and football output has been in free fall since Cheesy and Jimmy Wagg left.

The inclusivity and diversity wallahs got hold of it and the consequent dumbing down and reduction in quality has rendered it almost unlistenable to.

I get paranoid on this issue & fear their constant lobbying, given the current climate with Abramovich, could lead somehow to our ownership being targeted. There is no solid information or factual cause for this to happen but it's just a fear I have, as their constant smearing has definitely had an effect on the reputation of our club. Certainly in the UK anyway. They are like a dog with a bone who are intent to see our Club brought down and replaced by their beloved ones, who's ownerships can apparently do no wrong.

I don't have anything to back this up by the way, it's just a fear I have that's been heightened this week by the on goings at Chelsea.
You do realise our owners have already been targeted don't you?

Daily, weekly and monthly, much more when we win the league or a cup.

I can't see what the journalists over here have missed to target our owners.
We've had...
State run.
Oil money.
Sportswashing.
Blood on our hands.
Financial doping.
The war in Yemen.
Human rights abuse.
Ruining football.
Buying leagues.
Altering emails.
Cooking the books.
Lying about sponsorship deals.

Much of the information circulated in the late 20th century by so called experts and the media originated from the CIA. It was requoted so many times it became fact.

Every country does propaganda, so who gets to decide what is or what isn't?

At least it mentioned City.

I had 5live on when I got back in the car on Wednesday night. English team in Europe and the talk for 20 minutes solid was Madrid v PSG. As the show closed they said and City drew tonight !

If you have, then it was the Chelsea fans who did it.

No no no no no. Not lying about sponsorships.

What we’ve done is inflate them for getting round ffp, whilst at the same time undercutting them to stop them sponsoring our rivals

Really impressive business model to inflate & undercut at the same time. Not sure how we’ve done both as I didn’t think that would be possible, but I’m not a narcissistic journalist, so what would I know?

Researchers, read David Yallop's book on Carlos the Jackel.
What is that in relation to sorry? Terrorism in general or a specific case?

I think I get it but Iran are accused multiple involvements same as Saudi. Also, who's to say the researcher is right? Or Calos' word can be trusted? The point was propaganda from all sides is rife, people can be bought and paid too to add to that, so we all filter what we can and form opinions based on what we think makes the most sense.

It shows how misinformation can be regurgitated so many times that respected commentators who don't check facts repeat and repeat the information so that eventually the sheep treat it as fact.

Our official website is Man city so I can't see the issue with MAN or MANCHESTER. I do agree that the Rags are C-NTS though. CTID
I don’t see the website name as the issue, in the same sentence it’s Manchester united and Man City, and since when was u before C in the alphabet. We fortunately agree about the cunts!

"Man City" doesn't really bother me like it does some, because all PL Clubs have brands to be fair. However, "If City doesn't get referenced by the name Manchester, nobody does" is kind of the point though.

United haven't been based in Manchester for over 100 years, they've been referred to as Man-U globally a lot longer too.
My experience is that the word “Manchester” has been synonymous with “United” for my entire life. Indeed, traveling the world, the mere mention of being from Manchester elicits “Manchester United.”

In fact, in the pre-Mansour era, because of the way most teams are based on the name of their town, the word “Manchester” actually MEANT “Manchester United”!

CFG is a branding effort to secure the word “City” for us is, in my opinion, BECAUSE of the above fact.

It is much easier to say “City” in any language on earth than the whole thing, especially when you would have to overcome the years of “Manchester” being associated with the Rags.

As foreign owners, I think management understands this friction and seeks to avoid it, while creating a new narrative.

I don’t think it is coincidence that the East Stand (directly opposite the TV cameras!!!) is now emblazoned with “CITY” or that “City” is being used on leisurewear.

Yes, it is painful for Manchester locals to think of their home town as associated with the Rags, but outside of a 60 mile radius of Piccadilly, no-one really cares about us making the “they’re not even in Manchester” reference!

Sadly, when football blew up on satellite TV and then internet cable, United were on top and we were doing the roundtrip through the Leagues. That isn’t going to change with time, so why spend precious money and effort trying to change it?

We are always going to be Man City, with the “City” part being the defining characteristic, so why not promote that?

It was clear from the outset of the Holding Company being named that the GLOBAL project was about helping make the team name “City” synonymous with Man City as the halo club, but in also (wherever and whenever feasible) having CFG clubs carry that name and wear the sky blue…which is yet another branding effort.

The hope is that when the word “City” or the sky blue shirt colour is seen on a team, the footballing public THINKS Man City/CFG.

If we can accomplish that, commercial contracts become ever more valuable and the global football “istree” of “Manchester” being synonymous with the Rags becomes ever more irrelevant.

It's still our job as City fans to inform the masses that they aren't even from Manchester though. :)

Don't beat yourself up, only a genius like Simon Jordan fully understands it.

It wouldn’t surprise me, if they printed it was us who gave Kurt Zouma the kitten to kick!
