Any player that leaves Klanfield will recieve horrendous abuse , Sterling , Torres , Coutinho , Suarez and others , despite contributing to their very limited success and filling their coffers with millions of pounds.

In 2008 just before the takeover i was working in a plant room at a Middleton school and two young scouse sparks started working in there and obviously the first topic of conversation was which team. Turns out they were both toffee supporters. I said something on the lines that they and dippers were pretty friendly ( friends FA cup final and all that). Well the rant for the next half hour was a thing of beauty. Both weighed into dippers because of the clubs ban after Heysel after they won the league to qualify. All i heard for the rest of the week was the continual chant of murdereres.

I can see why European football was/is so important to those lovable urchins up the East Lancs road. For one it gave them the chance to escape Miserypool for a few days. It also gave them the chance to export that famous scouse humour and wit on the poor citizens of the countries they visited, as they trashed them and robbed all their shops of goods and money. Then there was the good old ferry trip there and back when they did the same, great fun la! Oh and we can't forget Heysel ....where??? Say the loveable urchins
