P & O

2022 strikes again what fucking next..
It seems like there are going to be some really hard and dark times coming. This is bad enough now, but I fear this is just the start. It takes quite a bit to get on my shoulders but life is a fucking worry right now.

These poor people today learning this, right as bills are about to soar.

Wankers, it surely must be illegal as it goes against all employment laws.

If I was the Union, I would consider scuttling the ships rather than letting foreign cheap labour on board.
The unions will be looking and thinking it could be repeated on other operators. And then why not rail operators as well.

Question is will they draw a red line and call for a consolidated response or will they tut?

They could bring the country to a standstill quickly by closing shipping and docks.

DP ports have plenty of money to sponsor the European golf tour, wankers. The never ending race to the bottom.

Don't know if it can entirely be attributed to Brexit, but reduced imports and exports to Europe and no longer being under the jurisdiction of EU employment protection rights can't have helped.

This is the Advert P&O put out for security staff to remove workers from their ships.

Doesn’t look like it’s from P&O but rather Interforce who they contracted out to.

Still what P&O have done is utter wank - but then their management have been treating workers like shit for years now so we shouldn’t be surprised - just saddened. The law on this type of corporate behaviour needs tightening.

Labour have had this as a policy for a wile. Tories could be in the shit here as there might be nothing they can do. This wont look good for them - especially on the day they try to quietly drop the 2nd jobs ban for MPs.

Where have all these "foreign workers" waiting around in buses come from? Are they not subject to UK employment laws, ie needing a work permit, or does that not apply on the seas? This is a total shithousery action from P&O ferries

This will of come down from the parent company of P&O called DP World which is UAE based.

My brother worked for a 'British' company who are also owned by a parent company in the UAE and they're relentless with cost saving almost to dangerous and pointless levels where they can't do the job. He couldn't wait to get out.

The infiltration of foreign investment into British companies does have its benefits but in this case not so much....

Speaking as someone on the hospitality trade, there isn't any, we are struggling to fill positions even with agency staff.

This foriegn workforce guff is a myth, most have fucked off since brexit/covid and now cannot or have not returned
