All this is better than the relegation battles of old.
Allvarez will be the back up mate .You're right, we're not at our best... but our best is literally "perfect" where we win 19 games on the trot! It's almost impossible to do that every season :)
Pep is a genius and he will know full well what the problems are and I wouldn't be surprised to see us change something about and win every game this season.
I just hope the club realise that we need a striker this summer. I hope we go big and get Haaland, but we need a back up as well. I'd still go for Ings as I don't think we need to play Haaland every game - he'd more than able to finish the chances when we play Burnley, Watford etc. I'd also be tempted to look around Europe at players like Lewandowski, Benzema etc - players who are quality who could do a job for a season and who'd offer something a bit different. We desperately need some proper strikers!!
last one was also a big chance ,but.... :(Be a treble can make us be the truly best team in England football history and UCL can let us be one of the best team in the world. This season is the best chance ever.
the last ten seasons we have averaged two home defeats a season , if you cant live with that Bayern Munich , Real Madrid and a couple of other clubs are probably better , go and support them , personally i can accept a couple of home defeats a season as for Liverpool its SIX seasons since they beat us in the league at the Etihad , but you carry on with the negativity. They scored three goals, we scored two.
You don't get points for scoring fewer goals than the opposition.
Yeah , it has happened at least twice a season at home for a decade , isnt it terribleThat's not the point. they beat us
We say its the best chance ever every season I'd say we'd have a better chance next season if we sign the big NorwegianBe a treble can make us be the truly best team in England football history and UCL can let us be one of the best team in the world. This season is the best chance ever.
It’s funny. Everyone is different. Give me a procession over this nail biter any day of the week. The rewards at the end may be greater but bloody hell the process is not good for my mental health.Totally agree.
This City team is the best team that has ever graced English football. This team would beat any other team from any other era over a season. I'd say that this Liverpool team are probably the second best.
Both teams are absolutely exceptional and whoever wins the title fully deserves it whether it's us or them.
I do think there's going to be a few more twists to the tale though. IF Liverpool beat us, Villa away (Gerrard), United, Everton (Derby games are unpredictable), Newcastle away (they always raise it for big teams), Spurs and Southampton (capable of beating anyone on the day) they deserve it. Simple as that. Personally, I don't think they will - they are playing too many teams who will give them a hard game.
I'd much rather a season went down to the last game of the season, it's just more exciting! I know it's not good for the nerves, but football HAS to be exciting for me! The last few games of a season are fairly dull once we've won it.
I think we will win the league, but we have to accept that we're going to be pushed to the limit.

"out"Alexander Arnold out for few weeks is good news.
"out"
file that under klopp's false positive covid tests category
I just think in a one of game needed to win a trophy we can do. I just feel our legs have gone a little for some hard away games with 11 to beat in the box.Top of the league, favourites for the CL and you’d be happy with the FA Cup? That’s probably the one we’ll fall short on as Pep is gunning for the big one, whilst trying to get the club over the line in the league.

Nothing could or will ever match THAT. Ever.
just in time for the international break, thats handyAlexander Arnold out for few weeks is good news.
It's what cheats do though isn't it.just in time for the international break, thats handy

apologies a bit over the top , but its gauling with our record over the last decade we are still doubted , present company excepted their are a lot of doom mongerers on BM , really do not get it , on our day we can beat any team in europe , and we have far more good days then badChill out Jimmy, I was only pulling your leg!
I know our record as well as you do. It's been near perfect for a decade, as you say. When we have lost, it's usually been despite hammering the opposition without scoring.
Unfortunately, you don't get points for having more shots or possession... yet. ;-)
We already are a big club, thanks. It’s been established by others on this forum that you’re a Dippers fan masquerading as a Blue. Pack it in. Plenty of forums (and vigils) you can join on Miseryside. It's football so it's all in context mate, I'm worried on a football level as they are a rival these days and them winning a quadruple would be a nightmare. If you think anything Liverpool do will be forgotten with the red loving media I think you are wrong - it will be wall to wall documentaries.
No matter how much we try to hide from it to be a big club we need to start acting like one and that means building a bigger trophy haul than our rivals not letting them have more.
IMO on balance of probability, they will, yes. Based on our form and theirs, the effectiveness of their strikers and our vulnerability to counter-attacks and some well iffy defending of late. And Pep's performances in key head-to-head battles. And their hunger for it, which who knows but seems to me is just a bit stronger than ours. We've won the league 5 times recently, they've missed out more often than not and I think want it more.So they are going to beat us at home ?
Trent Darby missing is a game changer for them , Milner will be slaughtered if he playsIMO on balance of probability, they will, yes.
