The Conservative Party

Starmer has opened many eyes and the more people see of him, the more the pendulum swings.
So tempted to edit this ......

All polls suggest that not enough 'pendulums' are swinging when they see Keith. The 'partygate' lead is dwindling by the day yet sensible centrists think that they are on to a winner that will rid the country of the scourge of Tory rule.

It might sound petty but whatever happened to any other leader would be 20 points ahead when faced with this shitshow?

No, we Scots do. We need to realise that eternal Tory rule is not the way forward, or even a Tory Lite Labour gov. It shoukd be clear that England will always return them and that os their right t do so. But we havent voted for them in 70 years in a majority and yet we always have them lording it over us with their greed is good, fuck the poor and vulnerable. We need an economy that is entrepreneurial but fair in using the weath generated more equitably. The Scandanavians manage it. We can too. But will we get off our knees and stop tugging our forelocks? I have to be honest and say I am not filled with confidence.
I agree but we can only get our collective fingers out if we have the means to hold a democratic vote. Hence Nicola needs to get her finger out and deliver that. I am concerned at her relative silence.

Ahead of the curve you lot. We still haven't worked out that the Tories are cunts let alone 'electable' Labour.

Edit away, mate. As I said, he’s opening peoples eyes. Not all at once, but he’s got time.

It’ll become anyone but the tories if the present shit show continues. It won’t matter who it is.

The problem is under our electoral system it *does* matter and if they do get unseated they will be back with a majority on minority support within 2 terms.

I agree. It seems we’re a country of racist thick muppets who need posh types to lead us. Hence predominantly racist thick posh types leading us. I work with nurses who vote Tory because they’re senior management on 50kpa and think they’re posh now. They forget about the 20yrs they’ve put in and compare themselves to the 25yr old newly qualified lot on 26kpa.

or maybe they just have an opinion different from yours based on lived experience and different expectations from life.
The fact you dont try to understand it and just box them off as ‘racist’ or ‘think they are posh’ doesn’t really come across well
I hope they don’t judge All people like you do

So that's a no then...... aside from Keith opening your eyes and getting your pendulum swinging?
Are we not doing opinion, or are we talking evidence in a poll that changes from day to day? I personally don’t do polls, as they’re like a rod up your arse. I could probably look at one that would say that Starmer is killing it in certain regards, but Johnson is in others, depending on time and place.

Your reply is a slap-me-down of a childish knobhead who wants to prove rather than debating, infantile to say the least.

Good night to you.

Quick recap. You claimed that Starmer was 'opening people's eyes' and 'swinging the pendulum' and in a roundabout way I said you were talking bollocks. The polls, as subjective as they are, back me up.

The less said about your penultimate line the better :)

Just to add some counter-balance to this, I hate Labour ministers, constantly saying "the government needs to spend more on X, spend more on Y, give more money to Z, handouts to god knows who".

The government doesn't have any fucking money. It's all OUR money. Pisses me off people claiming some moral high ground - or at least trying to - by saying we should give more of SOMEONE ELSES money away. Sure I get that some people need support and I don't even mind admitting that some need more support than they are getting. But if Labour would just for one fucking moment consider that money doesn't grow on trees, then perhaps they would not be quite so intensely infuriating.
But money does grow on trees. It’s created by the banks. QE for example, just under a trillion created by the BoE, a by product being the asset rich got richer. QE isn’t going away, the markets love the drug. But QE could be used to fund social projects or infrastructure, the next step on the helicopter. The problem is not many politicians can explain what money is and many politicians of the Tory kind don’t want to change the status quo.
Social mobility means some at the top will have to lose their position to create space for those at the bottom to move up a bit. That’s the antithesis of what Tories are about.
