The Conservative Party

That's good.
So of the 50bn, he's kept 45bn back.
Got an extra 11bn from graduates.
Now 56 bn in 'credit'.
Fuel duty reduction in effect cost him nothing.
NI threshold cost ten bob (say 10bn).
That still leaves a 45bn war chest to help people?
The war chest is most likely in case the actual war gets bigger.

Sunaks leadership bid crumbled by his own actions in 24hrs

Absolutely fuck all to see here. Infosys are one of the biggest SIs and countless thousands of companies do business with them every day. God knows how many pension funds are invested in them.

Labour luvvies getting a bit desperate if this is all they can come up with.

It’s hardly “all” they can come up with. It’s just yet another thing

Agree with the first sentence. But this isn't even a thing. Might as well criticise Kier Starmer because his mrs uses Head and Shoulders which P&G still sell in Russia.

When people start dragging up shit like this, it just makes them look bitter and silly and it devalues the more valid criticisms.

I hate tory ministers. They are patronising and belittling of the public.

They make out that we OWE the government.

It was them who put us in lockdown and forced businesses to shut. I can't fathom how we've been foot with the bill. Truly scandalous, whilst facing rocketing energy prices and inflation.
The whole world went into lockdown to save lives , even a tory hater like me cant hate them for that

hey the current and previous Labour leaders got plenty of stick - thing with supporters of this govt is they can dish it out but are thin skinned when fire is returned.

Sunak is part of a Govt that boasts about sanctioning Russians and so on meantime Sunak's wife has part of her fortune working hard for her in Russia - nothing to see there eh?

A good war will hide the domestic distractions. As well as the bastards changing laws whilst no one is paying attention.

Johnson only plays to his core support these days, his one nation levelling up bullshit was thin gruel before the effects of Brexit, Covid and Russia invading Ukraine kicked in. Now with hard times very much here and getting worse and his government doing fuck all to alleviate it, I sense he's given up pretending he gives a shit about the great unwashed.

You reckon he thinks his poll numbers might recover by posturing as wartime hard man?

Correct. Nothing to see whatsoever. You probably have part of your investments working hard for you in Russia, given you have a pension with diversified investments.

Just to add some counter-balance to this, I hate Labour ministers, constantly saying "the government needs to spend more on X, spend more on Y, give more money to Z, handouts to god knows who".

The government doesn't have any fucking money. It's all OUR money. Pisses me off people claiming some moral high ground - or at least trying to - by saying we should give more of SOMEONE ELSES money away. Sure I get that some people need support and I don't even mind admitting that some need more support than they are getting. But if Labour would just for one fucking moment consider that money doesn't grow on trees, then perhaps they would not be quite so intensely infuriating.

Money does grow on trees when it needs to. Just look at furlough. The money was found.

Oil prices are crazily high at the moment. An awful lot of people are going to need help this winter. Hopefully another money orchard is found.

Good grief.

Not the money tree.

This lot discovered a money forest. And set fire to it.

In his mind they will.

Unless millions do a Bozo and break the law by protesting without a permit.

No mate, the money doesn’t grow on trees.
This government has found it much easier to take it out of the pockets of the poorest and most vulnerable.

Oh there’s plenty of money around, what happens to all that money depends what the people controlling it priorities are.

And if it’s politically expedient- to win an election for example, they will hold swathes of OUR money back, then use OUR money to bribe us to vote for them, because they promise to give us back some of OUR money.
Simple really.
