Talking of the "drunken old fart", BBC Radio Four keep tailing a programme that's on tonight - all about Ferguson, "an interview with a legend". Sycophancy coming up by the bucketload. I bet they don't ask him " When are you going to call it a day and let the new boss do his own thing?" , or "What do you make of the mess the rags are in now, after the rubbish you bequeathed to them?"

Not only that, I noted from the TV listings that something called Pick TV was showing a programme the other night about the history of Man United, "directed and co-written by Eric Cantona", and entitled (sickeningly) "The United Way".

I think there's only the rise of the Nazis that gets more blanket TV coverage than this lot. And on Sky as often as not "Premier League legends: Gary Neville".

All about the past. Cos that's where that lot belong.

I mentioned the trailer for the radio 4 programme and said that Jimmy Wagg was presenting it.

Champs League again losing touch and it`s no coincidence it`s at a time when the Rags have turned to shit. To be discussed next week by UEFA. At least it won`t be until 2024 but what`s the betting certain clubs ask for it to be fast tracked.
And if memory serves me right I believe they`ve only got past the group stage once of late.
