Never heard of the Torch. We used to go to the Twisted Wheel, Oasis when looking for girls not trouble, Cavern and Heaven and Hell.
Went down to London and so never went to Wigan but it was famous along with Northern Soul down there
Oh another pick up place Brown's in Levvy, plus Queens of Hearts on Withington. Quite a little raver when l think back.
Re being too young etc. The first mods were around in the sixties, then they had a rebirth in the 70's. I was around for the 70's lot. I had the fashion, 15-16 yr old, but no money for a scooter.

I wish I’d had the foresight to keep every one that I had as a kid.
At various times I had an SX200 with full chrome regalia / front and rear racks / screen & mirrors + side chrome rails etc., an LI150 which was sweet & neat and a GP200 bored out to iirc 238, fully ported and with a big Amal carb (sod to kick start but, when fired up, way too fast for the idiot riding it combined with it’s breaking ability).
They‘d be worth a fortune nowadays but if I did have them I don’t recon I’d sell them unless starving.
