The Conservative Party

Two pundits on Adrian chiles on 5live (one from the Torygraph so no surprises) telling us that partygate will soon blow over because tory backbenchers will withdraw letters of no confidence and rally behind blobby because they see him still as an electoral asset at the next GE.
In other words, they are prepared to have this country run by a law breaking liar no matter how much damage it causes to us, so that the Tory party can retain power, and they (back benchers) can keep their cushy jobs awash with loads of donors’, and public, money to heat their swimming pools and stables and sort their driveways and duck ponds
Oy plebs……vote for us then you can go fuck yourselves.
When does the time come for the opposition to weaponise said plebs?

Personally, I’ve started early. Drip feeding negative Tory detail into those that I think are most susceptible, who will do the same to those who are a little bit more stoic.

Every little helps, as they say.

Yes. When you've got people in affluent areas struggling, you know the economy is truly screwed. No sympathy for any of them who voted tory, but it shows what a mess we're in.

Thats it precisely - those people are wealthy but not cash rich - they bought and are stuggling to pay for and heat a house for £350k and are smug coz its now worth £750k - thing is you can't eat bricks - nowhere accepts garden decking as payment for food.

Its the classic knowing the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

Problem is Charlie Stayt's questioning of Starmer on BBC Breakfast was like a physical assault - "what would you do? Whats your big idea " Starmer should simply say you get Johnson on this sofa with me and we will discuss it until then if he isn't prepared to come on here and discuss it I really don't see why I should.

The BBC must’ve been warned as lately they have been trying to shut down any negatives to the Conservative Party and giving others a harder time.

And then Starmer would be attacked elsewhere for avoidance - not answering would be a worse option.

I didn't see that interview, so don't know what was said. He needs some kind of platform and message that can be repeated by the whole shadow bench, just at the Conservatives clearly issue each day's standard deflation response. We've just had a day of "not when we're at war", even though we're demonstrably not at war.

Hoyle in full pursuit of his knighthood again

He's already a knight.

And just because he picked up on the word hypocritical? (Given the delay I assume one of the clerks pointed it out to him.)

Just get MPs saying "liar" in chorus...

It'd be like school. "Who said that?"

"Who said what, Mr Speaker?"

"If whoever said it doesn't own up, no-one will be going home."

As police issue first Partygate fines, Boris Johnson throws a lavish party to win over Tory MPs.
We face a cost of living crisis while they just quaff champagne and munch on canapés - paid by the taxpayer. They are taking the absolute piss out of us and yet at least a third of the country will vote for them again. No wonder they don’t give a shitting shit.

There are many Tory voters who are drinking more water just so they have more piss to have taken.
The rest of us are victims of the government's piss-taking whether we like it or not.

I know it’s always gone on but, as a man approaching 60, I can never ever remember a government not only behaving so badly and taking the piss out of the vast majority, but being so brazen about it.

Sue Gray - who is supposedly carrying out an investigation - wasn't even informed upfront the fines were being issued.
