Ref Watch

Fabinho and Thiago both should have gone today, along with Milner in the away game that's 3 red cards they've avoided.

The Fabinho one should have gone to VAR and god knows how he deemed it a foul on Thiago, when it was a blatant foul on KDB.
I was more pissed off with the Thiago foul just before he got booked think it was on Bernardo blatant yellow took him clean out, Taylor gave him a talking to.
Cheating ****.

Here is the frame that *NBC SPORTS* showed to determine if Sterling was onside right after the goal, at which point the commentators agreed he was just on side. This frame is inline with the rules for determining offside.

VAR subsequently used a later frame where the ball was well off Kev’s foot to determine Sterling was offside.

Everything about today was corruption in broad daylight.

Thanks for that it confirms my earlier post that the frame they used was after the ball left Kevs foot. Your shot shows the moment it left his foot. Corruption without consequences this is now normal when we play livarpool. PS. Why was there no handshake before the match.

It just all smells of trying to manipulate a last day finish with sky,BT and other media outlets going back and forth to both matches and the whole world watching on,and then throw in VAR and something like the formula 1 farce, maybe a pen after the final whistle has been blown, can’t say that hasn’t happened before…

I think a 3 game ban is definitely on the minds when it comes this late in the season.

I remember Henderson getting sent off for a leg breaker on Nasri and while it didn't impact the final score (3-2) he was suspended for the defeat to Chelsea (0-2) and 3-3 2nd half capitulation against Palace.

I think that was the real one he got away with, but of course, there's no guarantee that the later challenge would have happened.
However, I suspect he was using the rule that a foul intended to break up play but that fails to stop the attack does not incur a yellow card; this is in the laws at the moment, and has happened a few times this season.

The one where he got a freekick was for Rodri pulling him back marginally before. Given the lack of complaint, I assume that the players accepted it. As I had Radio5 on, it became clear that the radio comms don't get to listen in as Sky do - Radio5 couldn't understand it, Neville called what had been given immediately.

Radio Manchester commentary said it was on after viewing the replay

imagine Fabinho, Thiago suspended from next game. they would have to go with Henderson, Keita, Milner midfield which is levels worse than todays one.

Taylor knew this.

but guess what, nobody will make him face consequences for it. if I would make mistakes in my job on a weekly basis like these refs I would be unemployed with very bad reference from previous employers.

Just seen the fabinho hack on Bernie this morning, horrific and a straight red, it's one thing to trip a player as a tactical foul but he went for his ankle, nasty tackle. Same with thiago, does he get a free hit because a foul had ready been called? Taylor is fucking useless

That just shows that maybe they aren't mistakes! When Riley is head of pigmob questions have to be asked

The club should talk about the incidents yesterday to try and put pressure that similar stuff isn’t inflicted on us on Saturday. We should but we won’t.
of course if the boot was on the other foot…..
