Fernandinho to leave at the end of the season

Can only thank him for everything he's done for the club. Can't fault his service for the club, ultimate professional and a club legend. Brilliant defensive midfield who held that position down for nearly a decade.

Don't know whether he's going to continue as a player or go into coaching just yet.

Hopefully he can add to his 4 league titles, 1 FA Cup, 6 League Cups and 1 Community Shield before this season is done.

We are going to miss Fernandinho being around the dressing room, I know he hasn't being playing much of late but wheat he can offer off the field to the players is incredible.

What a servant he's been to the club, Gets his head down and gets on with his job. Best midfielder to EVER play in his position in England in my eyes.

DU DU DU DU DU DU FERNANDINHO!

I like the fact that City players know when to go. It always feels like it's too soon but the players themselves know. I think of players like Scholes and Ronaldo hanging on and stinking the place out. That's not the way our players, or the club, conduct themselves.
Yaya stayed too long. This season seems a bit too much for Fernandinho too, although his leadership qualities have been needed off the pitch.

Legend is right, I'm sure we all thank him and wish him well.
I believe, though, that he deserved so much better than "dudududuFernandinho", his name could have been sung so much better, louder and continuously, to so many tunes (eg 'Where's your mama gone', and repeat)...

Sad, but I think its the right time. Will leave having been a consummate professional and well liked amongst the fanbase. Its the loss of the club captain and with him goes a hell of a lot of experience which is hard to replace.
First on the pitch after the game against Atleti to make sure Jack was "looked after"
Love to see us get another 6 of his type only a younger version or maybe Pep would prefer another Rodri, who do we think we could get who would fit the bill. It tends to be a role not filled by really young players needing a bit of maturity.
Is a replacement unlikely given that our priorities seem to be rightly on a striker to replace Sergio?

Dont know whether this has been discussed already, but surely hes the best and most successful Brazilian ever to grace the Premiership and by some distance.

David Luis, (even tho hes rubbish), Firminho, Gilberto Silva (Arsenal a while back), Gabby Jesus, Alison, Ederson, Berti Glauber probably will get a vote or two...maybe Mirandinha from the deluded barcode fans...

But I dont think theres anyone else who gets close to Dinho (or have I missed anyone)

He didn't look too furious, in fact he seems very relaxed in the press conference. And this is a man who doesn't tend to hide his emotions
He would never show it on camera he’s too much in control. The guy is a perfectionist & not to be warned about these questions will piss him off. Press team heard fern say it 20 mins before pep so zero excuses.

Easily

Legend, sad day but he is making the right decision. Arguably the best dm to grace the PL.

I wouldn't get too bogged down by this. Pep and the team have much more important things to focus on right now
