This hits me like when Silva and Aguero left. The second he made his debut you could just tell he was going to be what he’s been.

What an absolute pleasure it’s been to have had him serve us the way he has.

Genuine City legend. One of the best signings that we have ever made. I will be sad to see him go but everyone has to leave sometime and the timing is probably right for him and the club. I wish him all the best wherever he goes next!

Likely to leave at the end of the season is somewhat underplaying what he said. To me it sounded like his mind had already been made up.

He hasn't signed an extension to his contract, and as far as I'm aware there isn't a new one on the table. He owes us nothing so fair play to him if he wants to go home and carry on playing at a decent level.

It'd be nice to see him lift the PL and CL trophies before he goes though...
