Liverpool FA Cup s/f (N) | Post Match Thread

Anyone actually got any stats? (Possession, touches in opposition half, pass completion?) I've seen Thiago was good, but Salah was poor (which wasn't my impression during the game).

Problem is these belllends who disgraced a minute silence have probably set us back years of PR. I know it’s not the sane but I was at anfield with Leeds this year as my mates follow them and during the game he hr amount of scousers doing throat slitting motions was astounding .they are as bad as anyone

You say it might have set us back years in terms of PR.

City don't seem that bothered by the press/media to be honest nor do our sponsors.
The dippers do terrible things but it doesnt put the press/media or sponsors off.

I couldnt give a shit what the press/media, dippers or rags think of us

The BBC stats showed there was basically nothing in it, which is actually what I thought after I'd watched the recording. 49/51 possession 10/9 shots 4/4 shots on target, something like that if I remember correctly.

When I rewatched the game, it was quite interesting. As shit as we were, they were not much better. The game was compressed into the middle third of the pitch for most of the game. Thiago hardly, ran the game... he did a decent job of breaking the midfield up but nothing creative really. What it came down to was a shit set peice opener, our keeper throwing one in and a scuffed volley that our keeper should have kept out.

We had better chances, created many more proper periods of football, scored 2 good goals but lack of incisive finishing cost us as it usually does. They were marginally less shit than us on the day.

I’m sick of being told that I should be ashamed/embarrassed to support City by the media, the hypocritical scousers and even sections of our own fan base.

We were awful yesterday. I was physically attacked by the vermin. It was shit from start to finish. But am I embarrassed to support my club? Am I FUCK.

The more shit that gets thrown the more I wear my City gear. Just like when we were shit.
I will be out later in my City 125 trackie top I dont hide like the dippers or rags when we dont win

yeah right..

80% of our posession was in our own half, fucking around trying to play it out from the back. It didn't work all game.

Would agree if you were talking about the 1st half. It's a silly exaggeration if you mean the entire game, though.

Tinkering is Peps only flaw, I cringe to think what tinkering lies ahead, the very definition of an own goal.
would Liverpool make 5 changes against us? would they f**k. end of end.

He is a horrible horrible City-hating bastard. He is praying for a dipper win like the rest of the Guardian sports desk cunts.
Remember that festering boil of journalistic puss is the haven for sex deviants like Glendenning and Nakrani.
And also the embarrassing **** depository that shelters similarly shamed, laughably discredited and demonstrably hypocritical wankers like Ronay, Conn and Hattenstone.
Oh did I accidentally mention their in-house pet dipper “Charlie Clitlicker” aka Sachin Nakrani?
Google it.
Might be reds who finally outed him but I say fair fucks to them
The Guardian. Fucking riddled, Savile style.
And yet these actual fucking nonces want to lecture City fans about morality?
Yes, the article was good actually, which makes me wonder why? Getting the excuses in early for when the dippers fade from their quadruple maybe?

Note to self when bit skint next April. Pep will not play strongest team in FA Cup semi if still in Champions League and Premier League tight
He will also take risks in the league too as the CL is the one that has escaped him. He will want that one more than any. I think we will see key players rested in the Watford and Leeds games.

Agreed. It’s an insult to the truly great managers to pretend Klopp is one of them. He’s a fine manager and is in the same bracket as Ancelotti or Conte or Van Gaal and managers of that ilk but he isn’t a colossus of the game like Pep is or Mourinho was in his pomp or Ferguson was
He's not on the level of those coaches in terms of trophies and Champions Leagues. Ancelotti has three Champions Leagues.

This fixture always looked like it was going to be a bridge too far. We’ve done the important stuff over these four key games: kept ahead in the league and progressed in the champions league.

Over the course of the first three of the games our players had the shit kicked out of them at every opportunity. It would’ve been nice if the referees gave the players protection but they didn’t. A semi final that was a bit of a mockery of a game was the ultimate result.

I think it would be much easier going into the final as league champions, rather than having the pressure of making or breaking the season all on one game.
