I see Wreck it Ralf has said there could be as many as 10 players coming in during the close season to replace the outgoings. Many of which will be out of contract and as such they will generate very little by way of transfer fees.

Without CL they will be struggling to attract top draw players and everyone knows they need to rebuild the squad.
If we assume that the players leaving will include Pogba, Matic, Mata, Jones, Martial, Cavani, Greenwood, Bailey. Then they have a lot of money to find.

A decent quality PL player now generally costs at least £35 million so they are going to have a huge outlay.

Sounds like they've put Ralph in charge of pushing season tickets

It truly is a blessing that Ratboy does not see that he himself is part of the problem;

- Club captain earning £100k+ a week, don't remember him speaking out on the ownership whilst he was in that privileged position
- 'This is Manchester United' keeping the hugely inflated self importance and entitlement as strong as ever
- The constant over-hyping of the club and players that he eludes to he is as guilty as anyone else (see all other media outlets in addition)
- Over-hyping of every single young player that enters the club (all within the England squad and grossly overpaid within a matter of weeks). At this point, they are all set for life and no longer need to improve
- Leading the fans revolt against the club 'green and gold we never fold!'
- Unwilling to castigate the previous manager as he was his mate

I could go on..............

Surely you can't be serious?

I always like to look at Utd through the lens of business. Let's do that.

First, Wreck-It was not hired to reconstruct or rebuild anything "long-term", short-term, or any-term.

He was hired as a panicked, desperate face-saving move by a club who had to sack Ole but -- because they'd bet big on him to bring back the DNA or whatever the fuck -- couldn't bear to have to admit they fucked up AGAIN, for the fourth time. They didn't treat Ole like he was sent packing in humiliation. They treated him like he "retired."

See, if you bring in Wreck-It as an "interim" manager (and convince him to come with a lucrative, two-year, do-nothing consulting gig afterwards -- since, after all, he can't manage, which is why he's a consultant), then if he fucks up as much or worse as Ole, no harm done. He was "interim" to fill the hole after Ole's "retirement". But they can SAY it was the plan all along to kick him upstairs, and Utd buy themselves half a year to find someone else to throw money at.

As I said, Wreck-It is a management consultant. Like all consultants, he provides thoughts and ideas, and gets paid whether or not those ideas are executed, and whether or not those ideas succeed if implemented, or fail. He's not going to "direct" anything, save anyone, restore anything. In two years, he's gone.

But wait, you say . . . they bought themselves time -- now, they've found their next savio(u)r in ten Haag, right?

News flash for the Dutch Boy: the Glazers are never, ever, ever, ever, ever giving "complete control" of footballing decisions or operations to anyone ever again. They learned their lesson. The autocratic Gin Blossom treated Utd like it was his club. He's an arrogant, irascible **** of a man. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. That's what Ferguson had. No wonder he thought it was his.

But LBO artists like the Glazers cannot STAND this shit. THEY own the club. THEIR money is at risk. Once they were rid of him, like in all LBOs, the Glazers determined never to turn the wholesale management of their cash cow over to another football manager.

ten Haag will get far less say over football matters then people think. He will get frustrated. He will have his wings clipped. He will fail. Then he will leave. After he spends a pisspot of cash of course.

All of these "changes", dressed up as a "plan", are sound and fury, signifying nothing. Nothing will change.

There's no plan. I hope there never is.

It is glorious.

And hilarious.

Morning Blues.

Just the 23 points then.

SCUM.

As you were. CTID.
“Not in my lifetime” - love it, zero points against your so called main rivals and your noisy neighbours. That along with a 15 to 1 goal tally, (we should be ashamed we conceded).

Can you let us know how you feel about that Slur Alex, you obnoxious twat.

The rags are no threat to us now.
Mid table obscurity beckons.
They should have kept olly, at least they were able to sneak into top 4 then.
:)

They are announcing ten Hag today to get the fans happy after that Liverpool loss.

I crave another protest ........... I mean apart from spending of hundreds of millions on players they wanted ........ apart from bringing in managers they wanted in all seriousness ......... what have the Glazers done for them

Take a look at their run in. I have said before, they are getting nil point from that lot. Maybe as high as 10th at the end of the season.
