just seen pr gobshite give it 2 years just to be competing translated as pray pep n klopp have moved on and they struggle to replace them
wasnt that his ole speech

Its not just the team that is fucked that's just a consequence of that fact that its the whole club Ten Hagg is a coach does he have any experience of building a club, or will that be wreck Ralph's job? What role do the hangers on like Phelan and Fletcher have and pseudo DoF Murtagh? Will Ferguson fade into the background or remain like a bad smell?
Ten Hagg is bringing his right-hand-man, Pep brought a whole team with him and had his friends in positions of power.
This is a massive task for him and I'm sure he is confident that he can turn it around but does he really know the extend of the problem or has he been sold it based on promises, will they be kept?

Apparently they think he's going to get rid of 12 players this summer, which is....IMO completely unrealistic.
Pogba, Lingard, Mata and Cavani's contracts all expire this summer so that's four.

Henderson is on way too much for a second choice keeper and he's never displacing De Gea so he'll probably go. I don't think it'll be long before they bring in a keeper with better distribution anyway so they could both end up being surplus to requirements.

Matic will be 34 at the start of next season and can't play a full 90 minutes these days.

Jones will finally leave, no idea how he's managed to stay there as long as he has.

I make that seven, who the other five would be I have no idea.

Ronaldo could end up leaving if they don't make the top four but the problem they've got is, which club in the Champions League is going to pay him 500k per week?

Fred and McTominay seem to be two of the most unpopular players at United but I think they'd be wise to keep them both as squad players, for at least a season anyway.

Maguire could struggle playing in the new system but they'd be lucky to get half their money back so I can't see him leaving anytime soon.

Rashford looks half the player he was a couple of years ago but you've got to think he'll at least be given a season to prove himself.

Then it's the likes of Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Bailly etc., that may not be good enough but will probably have to stay because it's just not feasible to replace half a squad in one window.

The only ones I look at and think they'll definitely be a part of his team going forward are Fernandes and Sancho. The rest of their squad is full of players who are either leaving, past their best, injury prone or technically not good enough.

Ten Hag has a lot of work to do that's for sure. It'll be a couple of seasons before their challenging.

Took pep one season to win the league and finish 4th in that 1st season!

If two bob Hag anything about him he should be getting them up to speed after 1 season and playing the ten bob Hag way.

Ratboy, Spitty, Sky...Talk absolute bollocks.
Neville thinking the Rags are going to amongst the title challenge...He wasn't complaining in that video about the Glazers signing Varane, Sancho and Ronaldo?? Oh no he's all for it! Now that they have all thrown their toys out of the pram he wants the owners out. Hahaha little inbred bastard

This is why you can’t take anything Neville or carragher debate on sky seriously. Gary blows with the wind. He talks about united with blind loyalty due to the financial rewards he received from the club.

Last season united were going to win the league and now 8/9 months later 10 players need sold. Where is the accountability? It’s all nonsense. I used to respect his opinion but as ushited(my phone autocorrected from united lol) got worse he started to get more cult like with his opinions. He then had the audacity to go after MCFC and associate our owners with the Russians. He is a sneaky bastard. Don’t pay any attention to the ****.

United made this appointment the right way is what I am hearing lol. Yea they called up van der sour and played the buddy act for him to give the go ahead to release Ten to deflect the negativity surrounding the club.

Shit club and will continue to be shit. Know your place and bow down to the blue kings of Manchester.

The first 10 stories - yes TEN - on the Sky sports app are about that irrelevant club! Why smothers is in red shite?

If it was any other team they wouldn't get that much coverage! Even the war in Ukraine doesn't get that much coverage ffs!

I think I see where you went wrong.

"I used to respect his opinion"

i say if you want to play like klopp or pep then go and sign one of them. but that's not going to happen ?
also do you think any of the so-called elite clubs take him as their manager ??

The most bizarre take on all this ten Hag stuff is that he comes from a rich family and his father and brother are millionaires, so he won't have the same pressure. Firstly, how fucking old is he? He isn't a teenager being supported by his family. Secondly, aren't all managers millionaires? I can just imagine Mourinho and van Gaal thinking "God, I hope I don't screw this up, or I will have to sleep on the street again ....". Who writes this stuff?

Long post Alert.

I understand all the banter, but truth be said, he's the only manager on upward trajectory available.
There are no Pep's or Kloop waiting somewhere for us to sign him thus you take a gamble for the future.

My ideal manager would have been Hansi Flick but he's not available.
So we've our own Bald fraudster .

The biggest problem we have is Team Spirit. Just through the eye ball test.
How has team spirit plummet this much now, and why does it swing up down every 3 years?

The easiest way to solve this puzzle is to check the meaning of team spirit, what it entails and how do you build team spirit.

I've tried to outline the basic things one can do to lifting team spirit

1. Articulate and operate within a core set of values.

2. Provide clear direction and a sense of purpose. Money motivates; it doesn’t inspire. The desire to be the best is driven from the inside, not the outside.

3. Make trust-building a top priority. It is the foundation of high-performing teams. Trust is built by being reliable, open, straightforward, and accepting.

4. Value the contribution of each player. Loyalty is earned by caring about not only the performance, but also the person.

5. Build on strengths; manage weakness. Put people in positions where they play best and minimize where they are vulnerable.

6. Listen to, acknowledge, and celebrate each player early and often.

If we are honest United is lacking on all the points.

1. We do not have a core playing culture or values. Pep & Kloop do have it. You know how City will play or how Liverpool will play. Players are signed using this metrics.

2. We lack direction and purpose. Liverpool & City are result oriented. United is commercial, marketing signings etc.

3. How do you build trust when the last permanent manager we've had was Mourinho signed in 2016. Ole was a interim who got to permanent manager through emotions. It's not a coincidence Pep & Kloop are top of the longest serving managers in the league. Trust is build through time, honesty and truthfulness. United we lack this.

4. How does United give loyalty when you know even if you play badly you will still be in the team or still earn your millions. How is loyalty rewarded when older players are signed to take place for younger players. They take even your shirt number. Contracts reward mechanisms etc. In Liverpool & City nobody is in the team not for his work result.

5. United even do not have a strength weakness analysis, why because the players are not signed with this in mind. Henderson is not the most talented midfielder but he does the job for Liverpool to his strength. Benardo Silva is not the strongest midfielder but Pep uses him to his strength. United even do know who has which strength as everything is skewed.

6. United have never been listening to other voices. The powers to be did not want to relinquish power to outsiders. In United Ed Woodward was the bigger figure than the manager. In Liverpool or City we know Pep & Kloop more than the Directors of Footballs or CEOs.

It's now United have started to listen and it's now I think they are working on the points above to create a team spirit that is sustainable and efficient in it's work.

Liverpool sold Countiho, Gigi
City let go of Aguero, Silva, Kompany and still the team spirit is at its highest.
United have 6 players leaving the team this summers, plus another 5 players who do not play or add any value on the team. We lack the 14-15 core players which every team has.

So with Ten Hag coming United will fulfill 2 point above immediately

Number 1... Having a core values, playing plan.
Number 6... Listening, if Ralf was not around we would have signed Poch so the corridors of power are listening to outsiders now.

The rest of the points is what now Ten Hag has to create, we can only hope it will work out. The board has to commit to support him in building a team spirit which is necessary for success.

At least now we hope derby games will be competitive and compelling.
I hope you cunts get relegated, fuck United.
