It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

It’s feasible to switch to 4-2-3-1 if we got Rice as he’s more box to box. Bear in mind we will be changing our style assuming we get Erling anyway and could easily have Kev in behind him.
If Mahrez is looking for one last payday seeing as he's 31, the money we'd get for him & Jesus would almost pay for Bellingham

I think so their top Journalist, reported it. Saying Dortmund don't want sell him this summer but if they did the fee would be 125 to 150 million
He doesn’t have a release clause, correct?

On Gabriel Jesus, is it AFC Bell that Arsenal ITK, I saw a few Arsenal fans get excited last night online as that AFC Bell commented on their forum saying Jesus has agreed a 5 year deal with Arsenal on 200k a week all they need to do is pay the fee and he's theirs. Apparently AFC Bell is extremely reliable when it comes to Arsenal news.
Then i guess we tell Jesus our valuation and let him leave if we receive that amount.

We don’t rotate the DM slot because Fernandinho isn’t reliable anymore. That leads to overplaying Rodri which has led his form to suffer from that. It literally may have cost us a Champions League title as we didn’t play him in the final because his form at the end of the season wasn’t particularly strong. Pep’s squads also can’t rely that heavily on a single player and they are meant to have another player not as backup but one that could naturally conquer the position based on form. As for Rice, he can play on multiple fronts.

We almost never rotated Fernandinho either in the seasons before Rodri arrived, and didn’t appear to be in much of a rush to get another DM in until Fernandinho was looking his age.

If we go for someone I have to agree with the other poster it would be a more low-key, as opposed to a world record fee for a defensive mid. Similar to bringing in Ake effectively as a squad buy.

A new LB could work with Zinny, since Cancelo plays both sides.

Cancelo-Walker (Starters)
Zinchenko-Cancelo (No Walker)
Zinchenko-Walker (No Cancelo)
Gomez-Walker/Cancelo (No Zinchenko)

Zin isn’t going anywhere if it’s down to his wishes or the clubs, he is happy, the club is happy with him. You won’t find a replacement as good as him happy to keep his head down and work as hard as he does with the number of games he gets.

As for Gabby, that one is down to him, I get the feeling the club wouldn’t sell him unless he wants to go, and would be loathed to let him stay in the premiership too.

Sterling however, different story. Not in the right frame of mind, so could be an outbound name maybe [emoji2369]
Sterling is the one to go for me, he had a couple of better games straight after he’d performed well for England, but has just returned to type now of looking like he’d prefer to be elsewhere.

Fernandinho’s form wasn’t exactly poor when we signed Rodri. Ake is a whole different story, as we already have three world class CB’s to rotate in two spots and he came to be the fourth in the rotation. If anything, only supports the point that the investment for the DM will be significant — or we can also rule out Bellingham starting now?
Last summer, with Grealish it was the same thing. How many times did people say we didn’t need him or that his arrival would be predicated on someone (probably Bernardo) leaving? The truth is, only Pep knows who he needs and why he’d need him. And he’s an inventive manager, the answers aren’t always clear

Out of Mahrez and Sterling who is extending then? Interesting to see what goes.
