Songs you hate with every fibre of your being.

Africa by Toto

"As sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympia above the Serengeti" is a crime against language and whoever wrote it should have been prosecuted and shot.

While we're on the subject, Kid Rock on All Summer Long rhymes
"a boy and a man" with "Northern Michigan".

How can he be allowed to get away with that?
That Africa abomination is a crime against humanity. Smug, "worthy", pretentious, complacent AOR and disgustingly shit.

Saw them once when they played at Huddersfield's ground around the release of "Monster". Thought they were fantastic live, but they didn't play the happy clappy song.
My favourite fact about them is that they called themselves "Bingo Hand Job" when they played secret gigs.
I was there as well but was underwhelmed by REM that day as Monster was nowhere near their best (Murmor and Reckoning for me). Best band that day for me was Terravision.

I went to that as well! Absolutely loved it one of the best gigs I've been to.

The Vaporwave version is quite glorious however, way better than the original.

Wind beneath my...whatever it's called. Hate it.
True story
Years ago my 7 year old daughter came home from school and as we ate our tea said she’d heard a lovely song at school that day.
We asked her did know what it was called.
She replied
“The Wind Beneath My Knees”
I just about managed to stop spitting my tea all over the table…

haha. Those lyrics make more sense. I have a misheard lyric bit from this song too...I always though it was a bit racist; "I can fly higher than a negro". How does Bette know that? Has she tried? Hand gliding? The South African hand-gliding team, since the abolition of apartheid, mind, have won many awards for how high they can fly.

Isn’t it hang gliding?
