I think FDJ would do very well under Pep, he's a versatile, tidy player. But, if Pep were to leave after next season (pains me to even think of it), I'd be wary bringing him in...especially for a large fee. I have nothing to back this up but he seems like the type of player that would only thrive in the right situation.

Can't see it happening, he is on €450k+ a week due to the Barca/Nike sponsorship until 2025.

Perhaps, although Barca were speaking to Raheem less than six months ago and also asked about taking him on loan in January, so the interest has been longstanding.

If they could get a name like Sterling, along with a £15m balancing payment for De Jong, Barca could well be tempted to do the deal, regardless, certainly in terms of getting FDJ wages off their wage bill and paying Sterling less.

Totally agreed.

After Phil and Kev, FDJ is the player I love to watch most in football.

You can't coach technique and intelligence and that is what Frenkie has.

If Pep gets hold of him and his fitness up another notch, he would be our De Bruyne long-term replacement, dovetailed with a Rodri back-up, when needed.
