The only way we could afford to add him to the wage bill is for one of our major earners to leave.I only want him in a Bernie swap if Bernie wants to leave. If not, it really doesn't work. He comes here and becomes a backup to the mids. Meaning he takes Gundogan's spot.
I don't think thats satisfactory for anyone. So if Bernie wants to leave then FDJ is a solid option coz then he can play 8 and backup 6.
The perfect replacement for either Gundo or Bernardo , although I want neither of those two to leave this summer.

It's also a good insight into how decent players would rather avoid playing for united.
My guess is that he's desperately holding out for a decent club to step in instead.
