A protest outside pre match and a walkout seventeen minutes before the end tonight. The lap of appreciation at the final whistle should be fun. They could have worse owners than the Glazers who have pandered to their wishes and bought marquee signings, Pogba, Sanchez, Maguire, Ronaldo, Sancho etcetera. They have spent hundreds of millions on that squad so I'm not sure the Glazers are their main problem. That happens to be that a few other clubs, ourselves included, managed to start competing with them financially and therefore on the field. Along with Ferguson retiring and Gill leaving has brought them here. I'll add their arrogance to that, Ferguson's "Not in my lifetime/Noisy neighbours " comments a perfect example. Enjoy it while it lasts because they'll cheat their way back to the top, this history club wildcard entry into the champions League being just one way it will happen.

Those heady days of late summer when grown men were proudly parading their rag replica shirts with Ronaldo on the back. I didn’t expect it to go pear shaped so quickly, how long we giving it before their hope is crushed before or after the Qatar World Cup?
“All part of the Masterplan” according to the brains trust

I have always believed Ferguson never connected with the City of Manchester like Pep who lives in the city-centre. If he understood our humour he would have laughed off the Tevez poster like my Rag pals. He was embedded in the Cheshire horse racing set.
His missus is a proper ‘Lady Muck’ type, notorious for talking down to waiting staff, shop assistants etc

Shirley that’s a typo
Rags set to embark on a lap of depreciation.

90 - 17 (years of Glarezs ownership) = 73.
Thank you that clears up the 73 minute thing. However if they were to take the average length of one of their matches with all the Fergie time which would be about 98 minutes, then they should go in the 81st minute.

Ferguson was stark contrast to Matt Busby who was a class act and very visible in and around Manchester not least my old junior school where some of his family went. Busby lived a few doors from Joe Mercer in Chorlton and was respected by Blues and Reds alike.

He also publicly congratulated Sir joe on winning the title in 1968, unlike the pisscan, who couldn’t bring himself to do the same to Bobby in 2012.

I remember that well. The pair spoke together on BBC and Busby could not have been nicer. Joe was clearly moved. They were genuine close pals. This before the days of snide banter and a toxic media.
