Not gonna have the 'greatest player' argument. I understand that the emotional connection to Agüero, Silva, Touré and Kompany is so strong that KDB will probably never win that title.

But is he the best- as in highest quality- player ever to play for us? I'd argue very passionately that he is. And we got him for less than the likes of Thomas Lemar, Victor Osimhen and Lucas Hernandez cost.

Kevin de Bruyne is a legend in the most literal sense of the word, as in, when we tell our grandkids how good he was they'll assume we must be exaggerating.

RAWK...

Literally everything is KDB for city, they're a one player team.

to bad no chances fall for in in CL game apart from that very first header he scored. dont think he had a shot after that. might have made all the difference if any of those fluffed big chances from Mahrez, foden fell to him for a chance to score.

incredible player.

Those debates about should we leave him out and we are better without him are just nonsense when you look back. He has been absolutely magnificent recently. He is still one of the very best players in the world.
Those debates were relevant at that time, they were mostly centred on the shape and balance of the team, at least the intelligent ones were. There will always be a few knee jerkers who claim he should be left out because he wasn't good enough, that had no place in the geniune debates. Yes he has been brilliant this year, genuine world class by any football measure.

Hitting Yaya 13/14 levels right now. Demigod/superhero tier.

Arguably getting into the statue-worthy conversation if we win the League even as to his body of work thus far.

Could end up as our greatest ever player. Privilege to watch. Like having 13/14 Yaya but not batshit crazy.
