Wolves (A) | Post Match Thread

and actually the easiest play for the first goal would have been to square it to Sterling, would have been another tap in
hmm based on his mood last night, he might have collided with the post/tripped over his feet/missed the ball entirely/shanked it off his shin though. Bless him :-)

Raheem Sterling accepts royal invite to Jamaica event ahead of England link-up | ITV News

Didn’t get chance to watch it. Does the score flatter us or did we batter them as it suggests?

King Kev!
We genuinely could have scored 10. We hit the post twice more, Sterling missed a couple of big chances, one being an open net. Rodri and cancelo had easy passes to put people through on goal but elected to shoot. The amount we created was insane it was a great performance.

Same again on Sunday and I think the scousers draw at the saints

I think its unfair to give an unbalanced view but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Raheem does frustrate me with his lack of ruthlessness but i think he also deserves credit. For KDB's second goal he played a nice flick with the outside of his right foot into the penalty area to KDB. It wasnt an assist and that goal had an ounce of fortune favours the brave but they all count. My point is he has been doing some good stuff lately, his pace is always a threat, i have been a critic of his but he is just inconsistent sometimes. His miss before he did his pole dancing impression was pretty bad but at least he scored afterwards. Anyway....well played City.

Edit; the nice flick was to Bernardo for his chance from a tight angle in the 1st half. However Raheem did have a hand in Kevins 2nd & 3rd goals.

That game felt like Pep has decided that the best form of defence is attack. Boring boring city.

What a fantastic and beautiful performance from our boys last night. I was drooling at the passing patterns all through the game.
Kevin what can you say about this man. His drive and panache throughout the game was amazing. 4 goals too. I believe we can say he is the best attacking midfielder in the world now.
A special word for Fernandinho who battled hard for everything that came his way. His reading of the game was superb, which helped to protect his lack of pace.
The rest of the team worked their socks off, with Rodri so calm and assured on the ball.
As for Raz? He works hard, he is a quality player, but it is unbelievable how many open goals he misses. If we want to win Big Ears, then our forwards need to be clinical like Benzema. Now we have Haaland the bar is raised and we can’t afford for certain players to keep missing open goals. Raz has been a great player for the club and we should all respect his contribution to our years of success. Now is the time to cash in on him.
In summary what a fantastic team we have. The quality, strength and character of the squad is totally amazing.
How lucky are we to support such an amazing team.

I do not agree about cashing in on Raz. He works well with Kane for England creating space for him to be effective. He can do the same for Haaland who might take some time to get up to speed with pep-ball and will appreciate an experienced partner to share the goal-scoring burden.

I think last night showed how pissed KDB was with the Madrid game, I know we scored when he went off but would we have conceeded or lost had he been on the pitch. I think he realises time is nit on his side and hope fully with Haaland arriving he will get Homs nance to pick up that fucking trophy.

Just watched the highlights and i love the reaction of foden when KDB scored his third.
Hands to his head in disbelief! Nice that even his team mates are fuckin amazed as well
I heard Grealish asked for a cushion and changed his shorts at half tine

I was watching thinking this is Kev's Yaya moment, as in that game away at Newcastle where through sheer force of personality Yaya dragged us to a 2-0 win. Kev not only equalled that, he surpassed it. City as a whole though last night were a team of real beauty, the movement of the front players created the space for Kev to do his thing. Wolves just could not cope with the constant interchanging of Phil, Bernardo and Raheem, this not only created space for Kev, but space also for Cancelo and Zincho. I thought it was possibly Zincho's best ever game for us, he was superb. Gundo and Rodri ticked things over beautifully which meant given our defensive injuries we were never really under pressure. Attack is the best form of defence and if the other team do not have the ball, we can cope without defenders.

Wolves are a team we have struggled against in recent seasons, but its no exaggeration that last night could easily have been double figures, we were that good. We were relentless in winning the ball back which in a way was encapsulated by Kev picking up a yellow for a cynical challenge, dark arts from the white knight.

Onto Kev, never in my lifetime did I imagine I would see a better player in sky blue than Bell, Yaya came close, Silva was a genius, Kev last night was Bell with bells on. Everything he did was magical, from his goals to his almost assists for Foden and he was ably assisted by willing forward thinking players who never stopped trying to create space and overloads. It is almost laughable that the rags had the temerity to think Bruno was in the same league as Kev, sorry, he aint on the same planet.

Treasure last night, it was peak Pep and a performance that will send shudders through the PL . Highest top division scorers in Europe and we adding Haaland.

Fuck me its great times to be a Blue.

almost exactly what I feel about him. He may be frustrating, but no matter how bad the miss, he gets up, dusts himself down and tries all over again. I for one will miss him when he is not around.

The ignorance of this post is astounding, i suggest you try another sport as your football understanding is on par with a house brick.

One hint. Space does not create itself. Try hard and think about that,

Smashing post mate. Funny how we all read games differently. I thought, for him, Zinc was relatively poor last night. His distribution was not to his usual high standard and he got done defensively a number of times. Agree with all your comments about Kev though. In a way, the RM result has galvanised him and I think he is at his absolute peak these last few games.

Great summation Rascal.

fabulous result and even better getting 4 more goals added to the goal difference!! Hope Laporte is ok, looked more like an impact injury so hopefully a couple of days time he`ll be ready to go again.

Similarly I thought Zinc had an average game at best. Did some great stuff but was also poor at times.
