Maybe go and see a physio as they may have a better idea of what it is and what you can/can't do to deal with it.Still not managed to gget back out there. During marathon training, particularly the last few weeks I had a strange "pain" in my left leg which almost felt like it wasn't fully stretched out. It didn't hurt but would be a bit uncomfortable when sitting or lying down. Never felt it when running though.
After the marathon it was slightly worse but then went out for a 5K PB attempt which I managed but subsequently the pain has been a lot more severe. I can't walk without feeling it and it stretches all the way behind my knee and down my calf. I'm guessing it's a torn hamstring... just trying to stretch it and strengthen (lightly) at the moment. Gutted though as I wanted to kick on and start getting my shorter distance times down. Got my 5K down to 21mins from 23. My 10k to 48 mins (and a sub-50 10k was relatively comfortable for me). Next focus was on a sub 1.45 or even sub 1.40 HM. But as it is I'll be back to struggling to do a sub 25 5K I reckon.
Might go out and just see what happens... it isn't a pain that is agony, just a real nuisance and not comfortable.
You sound like my wife!Maybe go and see a physio as they may have a better idea of what it is and what you can/can't do to deal with it.
Hahaha yep where's the fun in that advice, if I was you I would use the "physio money" to go buy a new pair of trainers and maybe give the leg a blast of the foam roller every now and againYou sound like my wife!

That's the spirit, I know that songsheet far too well, the death stares never last as long as the shiney new trainersExactly! They can look pretty in the box while I stumble around whingeing and getting the death stare from the other half.
Nice work mate, Stretford will be a "walk in the park" after doing a trail one, a lot of folk tell me it's quick, which usually means flat and simple enough.I've just lost my Parkrun virginity by completing the Stafford Isobel Trail run. Bit warm our there today but at least I didn't finish last & I really enjoyed it.
Up in Manchester next weekend for the match so going to give the Stretford one a go.
Are there any trails or country side nearby that you can explore? Do you run the same route on road regularly which could get a bit repetitive?Had a shite week for running this week, few motivation issues that will pass, went for the retail therapy cure. Shiney new pair of hoka tecton x arrived this morning, finally a pair of hokas that fit!! Will take them out for a blast tomorrow, carbon platesx2 in a trail shoe, what's not to like
Stretford is too crowded to get a fast time, in my view. Last time I did it there were almost 700 runners. Alexandra Park is good for PBs. It's all tarmac, and the paths are very wide.Nice work mate, Stretford will be a "walk in the park" after doing a trail one, a lot of folk tell me it's quick, which usually means flat and simple enough.
Great time, for an Old Timer :-)Stretford is too crowded to get a fast time, in my view. Last time I did it there were almost 700 runners. Alexandra Park is good for PBs. It's all tarmac, and the paths are very wide.
I did the Didsbury Parkrun this morning - my first time there. Nice shaded paths, and perfect weather. I'm still waiting for the official result (at 15:43) but my own timing was 26:29, which is my best run for two years. I like to push myself at Parkruns and take it easier on my individual runs. I'm delighted with that time though.

Been working on my half marathons as of late and managed to do it quite a few times, which am very pleased with.
Looking forward to doing the Manchester Run as well :)
