You will enjoy it mateIt’s one of my watch after Tokyo vice Halo and Moon knight
The narcissistic element from his dad’s character is alive and well, personally, I think it’s been very well done how they’ve not completely removed that element from Ray’s character.Interesting.
For me, 'Ray Donovan' doesn't just "get on with things" like normal, though. He barely suppresses anything internally and can't connect to anyone!
He's, basically, a ticking time bomb.

I think that’s a pretty good description tbh mate, there will have been a time when Mickey intimidated Ray both physically and mentally, and then had to really focus on the mental element once Ray caught up with him physically ( which he absolutely knew would happen eventually), which in itself is very manipulative (and typical) of those types of relationships, it’s an intriguing play off each other and brilliantly done at times .What I really enjoy (amongst many) is the dynamic between 'Ray' and 'Mickey Donovan'.
I've been trying to decipher how to describe it, but it's really difficult! However, I find 'Ray' being the 'Alpha' shrinks, mentally, in the presence of 'Mickey' who shrinks, physically, in the presence of 'Ray'!
Both are 'Alpha' in their own way, but fear each other. It's totally fascinating writing!
Yeah it’s incredible - it pushes the boundaries at points but it comes across as being very real and ruthless with some brilliant acting and great characters. Me and the missus loved itIs it as good as the original series?
Looking forward to this.
Let us know what you think?Started watching Billy the Kid.
Ep 1
Yeah I saw that mate. I really liked it.Just Finished Watching Time.
Was a really good prison drama.
I was gutted because the IMDB listing said 6 episodes. It ended on 3 and when I looked properly it said series 2 had been announced for next year which was the other 3.Yeah I saw that mate. I really liked it.
I brought this up a while ago as one that I was looking forward to. I'm waiting for all the episodes to air before I watch it. Anything by David Simon is on my "to watch list".I'm surprised nobody's talking about 'We Own This City' seen as the "spiritual sequel" to 'The Wire'.
It's a bit too 'informational' which is both good and bad as, for me, it made me feel like it was holding my hand as it walked me through the episodes.
Reminds me of 'The Wire' in that way.

His next piece of work will be "A dry Run" and I'm looking forward to that.
If you haven't watched, "Show me a hero", I suggest you get on it ; )
