A mass shooter who has been planning the attack for months or years, likely wearing a bullet proof vest and carrying an AR-15 and pistol side arms versus the average (overweight) American who just happens to be carrying a 38 revolver in a belt holster.
 
Another white terrorist lead calmly away in handcuffs, probably stopped off at the maccies drive through on the way to the station

THe idea that there's good guys who should have guns and bad guys who shouldn't have guns would be embarassing coming from a 9 year old. Everyone is a good guy with a gun until they commit a crime, and then it's too late.

If AR 15's weren't sold over the counter the racist prick would struggle to launch a mass killing.
Americans always tell you they need guns to defend themselves and yet they never do.
No civilian needs an assault rifle.

Unfortunately that probably isn't true mate.

Under federal law, fully automatic weapons are technically legal only if made before 1986, when Congress passed the Firearm Owners’ Protection Act. So it’s now illegal to manufacture new automatic weapons for civilian use.

Can't buy newly manufactured automatic guns but can still get your hands on an M4 or AK47, even if your state has banned automatic weapons, you could travel to another and buy the weapon and take it back home. There aren't internal border police to stop you.

People can buy gun parts in the post and 3d print external parts. You can even manufacture your own ammo.

It’s a sickness that Americans have let grow out of hand to the point that there aren't really any realistic options to stop mass shootings happening so often.

I may have imagined this but didn’t a terrorist try something in Texas once and got shot dead by the public?

There is one simple solution. Ban all weapons. The problem is the gun lobby run the country. No potential president would dare take them on.
I am not an expert on weapons but pump action shotguns, assault rifles and all the other stuff that allows a racist shitbag to murder innocents, should not be on the streets.
How many have to die before enough is enough?

Pump action shot guns are good for shooting geese ( I can’t justify the cost of an automatic one)

They didn't take him to the restaurant. The food came to him, it isn't the same as going to the drive-thru on the way to be booked in.

There are law enforcement officers in this Quora thread that explain why.

Two reasons.

1) good cop technique, offering a suspect a cigarette or a meal. Throwing them a bone makes them more likely to open up and confess.

2) They are responsible for his welfare, which includes feeding him(and maybe they didn't have the facilities attached that cook and feed detainees).
