I couldn’t agree more and I’ve said so similarly in the past. Our level of investment is too high to have the season brought down for lack of bodies in the squad to avoid the decline that always happens usually what, post February? There is absolutely no excuse. We can joke all we want about Liverpool using meds and caffeine, but the truth is they have found the balance to actually have a go at the talked up quadruple challenge.
Klopp has been there 7 seasons. This season is the first time he has won a domestic cup comp. Yes we fell short this season but our and Pep’s record in cup comps over the last few years has been incredible. Of course for some it’s always ‘not good enough’

They are getting picked apart this summer in attack. Bayern strongly want Mane , PSG want Salah. Will be hard for them to replace them
Diaz is an improvement on Mane. I doubt Antony will end up being better than Salah but he is really fucking good.
We have suffered this season from our unbalanced squad I would say, no matter what happens on Sunday

Atletico Madrid was a conveyor belt of good strikers becoming world class in the late 00s and 2010s.
Also great 1 or 2 season cameos from Suarez, Mandzukic, Villa, Hasselbank.

Next season is worse with the World Cup. Going to need a few more in the squad.
2018/19 we had 20 outfield players who played 10+ League games.
2021/22 we have had 17.
We are at least 3 players light, before replacing departures.
