I’d say that they’re slightly different. Yaya Toure was simply exceptional in that he could conjure up something himself that would get the team back into it or ahead, whereas de Bruyne does things for the team that get the team back into it or ahead.
A subtle distinction but I’m just pleased that we’ve seen them both in our colours.

Was caught up in the sloppy play like the rest of them. Pep deserves huge credit for the changes. They turned the game and lifted the players who were on the pitch, including Kev. As has been said, that burst onto the ball and cross for the winner just typify De Bruyne. There are very few players in the world who can do that. He does it with ease.

Watched KDB's assist for the last goal and its totally bonkers..

How he out hustles Douglas Luis, accelerating to his top speed and yet doesn't kick the ball with too much power so he can still control it and get another touch in before the next tackle and has the sense to put a topspin on the pass so it spins away from the keeper and finds Gundo in the corner.. holy shit..
