Open-top bus parade (Monday 23rd)

As a City fan surely the obvious answer is to leave the pool game about 10 minutes early to try and catch the tail end of the parade
Captain of team always puts me on first and that's about 8-15pm. And parade will be over by then. I've been to most parades but I can't let the lads down tonight because one or two are on holiday, and me not turning up might mean we might not have enough players to compete, and if so we'd forfeit the points.

But don’t you always lose your frame?

Weird to have it the very next day. Later on in the week, around Wednesday would surely have been better, gives people chance to sort things out to get there and would ensure far greater numbers. Hopefully enough can get there at such short notice.

I hope it has a good turn out, I will be stuck at work as 1 days notice isn't enough to get cover

Your mind plays tricks but I could’ve sworn they’re usually on a Wednesday. I’m still going but I get the feeling it might be a bit low key compared to other parades - hope I’m wrong.

The Centurions parade in 2018 was on the Monday immediately following the previous day’s final PL game at Southampton but as we were already champions, it was confirmed a week or so before that. The 2019 parade was confirmed after we clinched the title at Brighton but didn’t happen for another week until the Monday following our FA Cup final win over Watford.
So the last two have been on Mondays but we had a lot more notice than this year.

Pep Guardiola and the squad will depart from Exchange Square at approximately 6pm, travel onto St Mary’s Gate and then south on Deansgate, before finishing at the Beetham Tower where a live stage show will take place with the Champions.

There will also be a chance to hear from members of the Women’s First Team who won the Continental Cup, the Academy U18s who retained the U18s Premier League National title and the EDS who retained the Premier League 2 title.
The entrance to the parade stage viewing area is only accessible via Deansgate and all fans will be searched before entering.
As this is a non-ticketed event, we suggest fans arrive early to get the best possible viewing experience. There will also be screens throughout Deansgate showing all the action from the stage.
There is an accessible viewing platform located on Great Bridgewater Street and members of the Club’s Access Team will be on hand to assist fans who require access.
