Aston Villa (H) Post Match Thread

All the subs went crazy, running across the pitch. Except Walker, who legged it down to the corner of the ground where I was in the second tier. Even not 100% fit, he's rapid!
I’m glad you made it over for the game yesterday, J.

Well worth the trip, eh?

One thing that struck me was Villa's time-wasting after 15 minutes. They played like they had something more than a PL match to defend & win.

Evidently it was Gerrard doing all he could to help the Dippers. Aside from 2-legged away ties or relegation/promotion/title games, I've never seen a team time-wasting so early when there was nothing to gain or lose for them.
I thought their goalie started time-wasting from the first time he touched the ball.

And Michael fucking Oliver was a disgrace for allowing them to get away with it for so long.

Interesting to see the opposing view.

Their 'we're having a party' song - gives their view on Grealish. Very strange bunch of bitters.

That was interesting. I didn’t hear them till they shut us up for a few minutes with the first. And again with the second.

Just a sobering thought on yesterday which, in the euphoria, we've forgotten. Olly Watkins could have had Villa 4-0 up and out of sight if he could finish. After seeing him in several games lately, I find it hard to believe that he's ever managed to get himself into the England squad.

Coming back to win 3-2; easy peasy for City now. I wouldn't have fancied us coming back to win 5-4 though.

Nothing new there. He also let that little scrote Coutinho to keep standing right in front of the ball everytime we had a free kick
