For me, it's the same situation as with Gabriel Jesus leaving Palmeiras to join City. Probably will settle well. And Alvarez is much more similar to Werner from RB Leipzig times than to Muller IMO, but that comparison is very, very interesting.
Think its their last game today

Phillips gives us something we have lacked since Fern's legs have gone, lateral movement. He is very comfortable shifting side to side, whereas Rodders likes to break the lines and is much more up and down.

I don't want to slag Rodders, he's magnificent, but both goals conceded at the weekend had an element of his failings in them?

He couldn't get back in for the first and was caught ahead of the ball. The second one, he is the wrong side of Watkins for the flick.

Rodri has dragged us through games in recent weeks and being able to sub him during matches next season for Phillips will be a huge benefit.
Rodri has been magnificent for the last 2 seasons but gets flogged to death, it cost us at the end of last season and it nearly did this year, he needs some help, Philipps and ideal foil bringing athleticism and aggression.

He's 3 years older than Jesus was when he joined City, and is older than Foden. A later developer than those two, but you'd hope he is ready to start as he'll turn 23 half way through next season.

Was it agreed he could finish the cup games when we signed him
I asked around yesterday in a RP forum and they told me he will see his contract out. I was under the impression his last game would be tonight, but apparently no, unless they kept it under wraps. They haven’t played that many games, but it’s still risky for him to play from February of a year to May of the next year non stop

Seen it all now, this is 100% going like the Grealish transfer. Some Leeds fan accounts going with the exact same angle as Villa fans last year. Such as

“Why move to a team already at the top? Surely it would be more of an achievement to get LUFC (the team that holds his heart) from the bottom to the top instead of being a bench warmer for MC”

You'll drive yourself mad listening to opposing fans on twitter. Probably best to ignore them as we know how this will play out (assuming we are in for him)

Done deal then! Lol ;-)

Getting the feeling this guy is going to cost a BOMB

More I hear the less I want him, got to be options out there that tick our boxes....I mean he's not nearly as bad as some are making out but given this guy could cost upwards of £50mil there has to be better deals
