Cancelo is a right back filling in on the left though - his need to cut in all the time causes us problems which the best teams find it very easy to exploit.

And Kabore and Couto both scream CFG signings to me. I’d be surprised if either of them ever make a first team appearance for us.

Particularly considering they’ve got both Walker and Cancelo ahead of them.

I was simply pointing out that Porro was a legitimate option. Not a wingback who wouldn't fit like you claimed.

We must not forget that zinny can play in the left midfield. Our first choice midfield next season will be silva rodri kdb, as a backup maybe philips for rodri and gundo for kdb (i would start gundo nvm) but we don't have a back up for silva (specially left footed) so i think zinny can offer rest to the tiring mid when we have to play a game every 3 days

Zinny would still be my 2nd option for LB.

Cancelo should be a strict RB, moving him back and forth is not a good idea imo, needs rhythm in a specific role.

Move Zinny back to leftback. Cancelo can play primarily on the right. Grealish and Foden can also double as left backup 8's.

Is Zinchenko good enough to be our first choice LB? Sorry Pep, yes he is. Wish Pep and fans would trust him more.

Hardly put a foot wrong when used and he is getting better and better in that position. Still only 25. Started 10 League games last season and the team scored a phenomenal 41 goals in the 10 matches he started and completed 90 mins. For balance those 10 games he started and completed 90 mins we conceded 8. Many think he weakens the team if he plays. These stats do not suggest that.
