Yeah, I think the capacities of all English grounds were reduced by something like 10%-15% immediately after Hillsborough, regardless of how dated/modern each ground was.

Unfortunately that's how tickets for big finals have always been allocated, same for us last year against the chavs, vut no reports of muggings, gassing, crowd chaos at our final

I wonder if The Sun will finally make amends tomorrow with a new “THE TRUTH” front page headline that completely absolves any Liveroool fan of any responsibility for what happened on Saturday and claiming that there were zero forged tickets in circulation?

Maggie didnt do anything to them. Serious question, how old were you then? The dockers ruled the city. Derek Hatton, the elected leader. basically stated the City was independent from the rest of the UK (sound familiar ?)
I know the Poll Tax was not right but for an elected leader to decide he was going against the elected government ! (look at Hattons history after he was kicked out- not very socialist )
They have always been lawless and against the world. Aside from the London Turks, they are now the biggest drug distribution centre this side of the Pacos. That all stems from the 70's lawlessness. Tory govts. have poured millions into the City but it doesnt change, the current leader is suspended for fraud. A poster on here has stated when he erected scaffolding in Li''pool he got a phone call.... it was either nicked or it came down, I cant remember which, but that shows the criminality.

Bumped into that rarest of species, a fair-minded Liverpool supporters, down the pub yesterday. He was in company with a few others, shall we say, 'more typical' Liverpool fans. All of them licking their metaphorical wounds.
The play-off was about to start when I got there. I approached the bar. He speaks softly as a rule and, I am quite sure was addressing only me.

A squabble ensued among the rest of them as to the justification of holding a parade for the two cups. Nothing else - not the date nor the unfairness to fans unable to get home from Paris in time for it - just whether the cups were worthy of a parade.
He looked at me. I nodded in sympathy, paid for my pint and moved away to get a view of the telly.
