Klopp's spending whilst at Liverpool, Van Dijk at £75m, second most expensive defender of all time. Allison at £68m second most expensive gk of all time and Nunez at £85m fourth most expensive PL player of all time and the Dippers keep on complaining about City spending and so called buying the League?

Is Darwin Nunez going to be a hit in the Premier League? Will it be money well spent by Liverpool?

Loving that they're getting some stick for being hypocrites.

It might have gone under the radar for a lot of posters (or people have simply forgotten) but Klopp has previously been called out in some sections of the media for his Pogba comments back around the time they bought Van Dijk and Allison for big money. IIRC one reporter asked him to his face about it. Klopp's justification of his rank hypocrisy was utterly laughable. It went something along the lines of: "I've changed my mind since them. Am I not allowed to change my mind?"

Oh, that's alright then Jurgen. Roughly translated, I think what he really meant to say was "I never really had an issue with United spending that kind of money on Pogba. In fact, I was a bit envious that my own club weren't prepared to spend that big at the time but I'd never get away with saying that as it could cost me my job so instead I used deflection tactics while trying to make myself look morally superior into the bargain"

Just further evidence, if ever it were needed, that Klopp is full of shit! Sound bites that would make Andy B green with envy!

Wow, with Nunez signing, I can't imagine what this team is going to win next season. The best manager/goalkeeper/left back/right back/centre back/central midfielder/wingers and now best striker in the world.I mean - who can even get close to them next season?

Lol!

Whogot their shorts pulled down?

And yet, on the BBC’s rolling football news page, more people think Nuñez will be better value for Littlewoods than Erling will be for us.

Make of that what you will.
See the media thread. Pretty fair and balanced from BBC Football.

I've been flummoxing scousers with this nugget for weeks, since Liverpool were last champions of England, and therefore can legitimately claim to have the best squad at that moment, they've spent more than us net. They have absolutely no answer for it. I like to bait them into mentioning 100 million on Grealish and not having to sell players before I hit them with the sucker punch.

Liverpools net spend since they were champions £177.17. Citys net spend in the same time £169.07 scouse narrative is in overdrive to try and excuse it.

Google will have noticed two recent spikes on Nunez's wiki and similar entries.
1. The first was from a load of journos thinking 'who is he?'

2. A bigger one from dipper fans not only from those who also had to find out who he is, but many others who know that journos tell lies and were double checking.
A significant amount of dippers also checked out the name 'Haarland' and thought he was too old for the Premier League and had a dodgy knee.
Of course the single brain cell fans are not helped by the media who rush to proclaim without any real knowledge that their unknown is the better buy.

From RAWK. And an example of the way their fanboy media people work (And how fkin sad these lot are). They;'re still banging on about Paris wtf!

They've been fucking scandalous throughout. When you are based in Manchester, with fucking Mancs 'journalists' and 'broadcasters' working out of that fucking cesspit in Salford Quays and beholden to Abu Dhabi and United it comes as no surprise. However, it's anti scouse agenda is not even subtle anymore. They fucking abhor Liverpool both as a City and a club. It needs investigating

I work for the BBC (not in News) and want to clarify this misinformation which I think is unhelpful. Firstly, BBC News is NOT based in Salford, BBC Sport is but the story in question was not from there. The story in question was written and published out of London. Either way Salford is filled with people from all over the UK including many scousers such as myself. There is no pro-Utd/City anti-scouse agenda because it's not staffed by children.

However, I do agree that there were mistakes made, not so much by the reporting, but the headlines of some recent articles about Paris. I personally was incredibly angry about the headline of one article two weeks ago, and contacted both the London-based journalist and their editor to ask them to change the headline which I felt parroted the lies of the French. They agreed it could be 'clearer' and immediately changed it.

Now I reckon that is the scenario all over the media when there are lfc/City stories being run.
