I was watching a ‘who do you think you are’ last night with that big dude Richard Osman. His great great great great grandad was a fisherman in Brighton, lead a proud and active life, was a principle witness in a notorious murder and had to retire from the sea because of age……..
At the time fishing was a poor man’s game and within a year or so he was committed to the workhouse which is where you went when you were poor. He spent 25 years there working every day until he died.

the two great political achievements of the last hundred and odd years have been the welfare state and the National health service, both of which are being steadily eroded by the Conservative party. How long will it be before pension age = average age of death?
How long until the sell off of the NHS is completed?

for the life of me, why do we keep this party in power? They want to take us back to Victorian values.
 
Ha ha ha - review of the forecourts - just more hot air - petrol went up 3p a litre in 2 days this week - their precious 5p was swallowed up ages ago - Sunak announced it in March when petrol fose to £1.68 per litre - do they think we are fucking stupid

I agree - " Things Can Only Get Better" - sadly Labour did not exploit to the full the opportunity those 13 years presented them with
